World Series of Fighting to Unleash One-Night, 8-Man Tournament in November
Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts promotion World Series of Fighting announced Wednesday plans to host a massive one-night, eight-man tournament that will appoint the No. 1 contender for its lightweight division.

“We are excited to roll out our first-ever, one-night tournament filled with some of MMA’s top lightweight fighters, and to distinguish a new number one contender in this weight class that has been growing aggressively and is packed with world-class talent,” WSOF President Ray Sefo said in a statement.
The eight men who will comprise the 155-pound bracket are Luis Palomino, Brian Foster, Mike Ricci, Islam Mamedov, Brian Cobb, Jorge Patino, Joao Zeferino and Richard Patishnock.
Quarterfinal matchups for the tournament will be revealed soon, according to the WSOF.
