The UFC’s 11th event on Fox will feature a pair of top-10 heavyweights in a pivotal showdown.
The promotion Monday announced that Fabricio Werdum and Travis Browne will square off at UFC on Fox 11, with the winner “likely securing a heavyweight title shot.” The show will go down April 19 at Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., and will also include a women’s bantamweight tilt between former title challengers Miesha Tate and Liz Carmouche.

Browne, 31, had a breakthrough year in 2013, notching three first-round knockouts against top-tier heavyweights like Alistair Overeem and Gabriel Gonzaga. “Hapa” finished the year with a 60-second stoppage of Josh Barnett at UFC 168.
Tate has lost three of her last four bouts, including a pair of losses to top-ranked female Ronda Rousey. In their UFC 168 rematch, the 27-year-old “Cupcake” lasted longer than any of Rousey’s opponent but ultimately succumbed to a third-round armbar.
Carmouche, 29, also fell victim to a Rousey armbar in their February 2013 meeting, but the former U.S. Marine Corps electrician bounced back with a July finish of Jessica Andrade. In November, Carmouche was dealt another setback in a three-round decision loss to Alexis Davis.
