Vasquez vs. Lartey Weigh-In Results: Welterweight Bout Official for Friday on Showtime

Sammy Vasquez will meet Emmanuel Lartey in the main event of a 10-round welterweight bout on Friday.

Both fighters hit their required marks when they tipped the scale on Thursday. The event takes place at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and airs live on Showtime.

Vasquez (17-0, 13 KO’s) has only been fighting professionally for a little more than three years, but has swiftly become one of the hottest commodities at welterweight. A two-tour veteran of the Iraq War, Vasquez will look for his ninth consecutive knockout when he faces Lartey. As a result of his service, the broadcast will also air on the Armed Forces Network.

Lartey (16-2-1, 8 KO’s) has yet to be finished in his boxing career. Hailing from Ghana, the 33-year-old has only been victorious once in his last three fights. The fight will be Bukom Jah’s ninth appearance on American soil.
