Undefeated Paul Craig to Defend Light Heavyweight Title in BAMMA 26 Main Event
Paul
Craig will defend the British
Association of Mixed Martial Arts light heavyweight crown
against Chris
Fields in the BAMMA 26 headliner on Sept. 10 at 3 Arena in
Dublin. The event will feature three other title fights, as
John
Phillips meets Andy DeVent
for the middleweight championship, Alan
Philpott faces Aaron
Blackwell for the bantamweight belt and Rany Saadeh
battles Andy Young
for the flyweight strap.
Craig will carry a perfect 8-0 record into the cage. The Scottish Hit Squad representative has finished all eight of his opponents, seven of them by submission. Craig last appeared at BAMMA 23 in November, when he tapped Marcin Lazarz with a first-round triangle choke to claim the light heavyweight championship.
Fields trains out of the SBG Ireland camp, where he hones his skills alongside Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight titleholder Conor McGregor. The 33-year-old has gone 1-3-1 across his past five outings. Fields last fought at BAMMA 24 on Feb. 27, when he submitted Dan Konecke with a first-round brabo choke.
