UFC officials Friday announced that bantamweight talents Yaotzin Meza and Chico Camus will do battle at UFC on Fox 10.
The event will emanate from United Center in Chicago on Jan. 25 and is headlined by a lightweight clash between former UFC champion Benson Henderson and ex-Strikeforce king Josh Thomson.
Meza enters the fight sporting a 1-1 record under the UFC banner. The 28-fight pro made his Octagon debut on short notice as a featherweight, taking on top contender Chad Mendes at UFC on FX 6. Though Meza was finished in that fight, he found success in his next outing, submitting “TUF 14” alum John Albert with a rear-naked choke this summer at UFC on Fox 8.
Camus earned his second UFC victory in his most recent appearance, taking a unanimous decision from Kyung Ho Kang at UFC 164 in Camus’ hometown of Milwaukee. “King” has won six of his last seven fights, with his lone loss in that span coming to Dustin Kimura in his sophomore Octagon effort this past February.
