UFC Welterweight Viscardi Andrade Notified of Potential Anti-Doping Policy Violation
Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight Viscardi Andrade is facing suspension after being flagged for a potential violation of the company’s anti-doping policy.
UFC on Tuesday issued a release stating that Andrade’s alleged violation stemmed from an out-of-competition sample collected March 7 by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).

Andrade earned a three-round unanimous decision over Walsh on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night “Hunt vs. Mir.” The win moved the 32-year-old Brazilian’s Octagon record to 3-1 and came four months after Andrade’s unanimous nod against Gasan Umalatov at a UFC Fight Night event in Sao Paulo.
Andrade is the second UFC fighter in five days to be alerted of a potential anti-doping violation. Last Friday, UFC announced that former heavyweight champion Frank Mir was flagged in a drug test administered on March 19, the day of his knockout loss to Mark Hunt. Mir has since denied using any performance-enhancing drugs.
