UFC Star Michael Bisping Gets Minor Role in ‘Twin Peaks’ TV Series Remake

UFC middleweight Michael Bisping continues to build his acting portfolio, as he will appear in the remake of the popular early 1990s TV series “Twin Peaks.”

“It was only a small part, but it was cool to be a part of it as I’m a big fan of the original,” Bisping wrote on Instagram.

Premium network Showtime recently released the entire 217-member cast for the series reboot, a diverse group that includes original “Twin Peaks” stars Kyle McLaclan David Duchovny, Alicia Witt, David Patrick Kelly and Harry Dean Stanton as well as new additions such as Jim Belushi, Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Trent Reznor and Eddie Vedder.

The original ”Twin Peaks” was a drama that aired for two seasons on ABC from 1990-1991 and followed an FBI investigation into the murder of a homecoming queen in the fictional town of Twin Peaks, Washington. Although the series was short-lived, it became a cult favorite and has appeared on several media outlets’ lists for top TV shows of all-time.

Bisping also recently announced that he landed a role in the action film “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,” which is expected to hit theaters in January 2017. “The Count” last appeared in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night in London on Feb. 27, when he captured a unanimous verdict over Anderson Silva.
