UFC Reveals Light Heavyweight, Strawweight Cast for ‘The Ultimate Fighter 23’

The cast for “The Ultimate Fighter 23” has been revealed.

The group, which features light heavyweights and strawweights, was announced during “UFC Tonight” on Wednesday. Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha will serve as opposing coaches on the latest iteration of the long-running reality show, which premieres April 20 at 10 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.

As usual, the premiere will feature a series of fights to narrow the cast from 32 to the 16 fighters -- eight light heavyweights and eight strawweights -- that will enter the “TUF 23” house. The show will unfold over the course of 12 episodes overall, with the finalists in each weight class squaring off at the “TUF 23” finale in Las Vegas on July 8. Jedrzejczyk and Gadelha will lock horns for 115-pound gold in the evening’s main event.
