The San Diego State University alum brings a mountain of experience to the table. Winter cut his teeth in the media business working for DirecTV, where he established pay-per-view relationships with UFC and Pride Fighting Championships.

Winter eventually left the satellite TV provider for Yahoo!, where he was one of the key figures in the growth of the online giant’s sports outlet. Winter conceived and launched Yahoo! Sports Radio, which now boasts over 500 affiliates. He also was the co-head of the Yahoo! Sports partnership team that led to the entity developing crucial partnerships with the National Football League, National Hockey League, UFC, HBO, Showtime, SeatGeeks and more. Winter led the unparalleled development and growth of college football and basketball recruiting, and scouting powerhouse Rivals.com as well.

“UFC is not only the leader in the sport of mixed martial arts, but it is a leader in the area of programming and content distribution,” said Winter, who will operate out of the UFC’s Las Vegas headquarters. “I am thrilled to join UFC and build key partnerships that will ensure UFC Fight Pass is the premier destination for fight fans around the world.”
