Round 1
Chris Kinman has referee duties for the night's opening bout. The fighters exchange jabs as they circle and feel each other out. Brown lands a low kick and Pokrajac tries to grab the Thai plum. Brown muscles his way free and presses him against the cage. Brown knees to the legs and Pokrajac lands a nice right hand inside. They separate and Pokrajac lands a glancing head kick. Pokrajac moves forward and drills him with right hand that wobbled Brown, who drops for a takedown. Pokrajac pounds on Brown as he strains for the single-leg takedown. Brown retreats to his feet and Pokrajac pushes his way into the clinch and crushes Brown with a knee. Brown drops and covers while Pokrajac pounds away for the final 15 seconds of the frame. Brown is unable to make it back to his corner and is tended to by ringside physicians as Kinman waives off the bout. The official time of Pokrajac's TKO victory is 5:00 of the first round.
Dave Branch vs. Rousimar Palhares
Round 1
With Mario Yamasaki as the third man in the ring, the middleweight tilt is underway. Just over a minute in, Branch pushes Palhares to the mat and is caught in an armbar. Branch stays calm and extricates his arm and sets up in Palhares' guard. With about two minutes left in the round, Branch tries to shake his right arm free to land some elbows, but finds himself defending another armbar and then a triangle, after landing a few shots. Branch tries to pass to half and is caught in a leglock. Palhares tries to finish but Branch rolls. He seems safe, but Palhares doesn't let go of the hold. Branch breaks free and clobbers Palhares with big punches until Yamasaki pulls him off at the bell. Palhares thinks he threw after the bell and glares at Yamasaki before getting up and heading to his corner. Sherdog.com sees the first round 10-9 for Branch.
Round 2
Palhares and Branch clinch along the cage and the Brazilian eventually gets the fight to the ground. He transitions directly into a deep heelhook that forces Branch to tap out at 1:44 of round two.
Rob Kimmons vs. Dongi Yang
Round 1
Gary Copeland kicks off the middleweight affair and the fighters tie up briefly and trade punches. Southpaw Yang lands a lead left and then drops Kimmons with another. Yang pounces and gets caught in Kimmons' guard. Yang stands up and blasts his prone opponent with punches. He passes and then takes mount. He moves to his back and then grabs an arm triangle. Yang does not pass to side and can't finish him off. A game Kimmons gets to his feet for a moment, but is put back to the ground where yang continues to brutalize him. From mount Yang batters Kimmons with punches and nearly finishes him with a keylock at the horn. Sherdog.com scores the first round 10-9 Yang.
Round 2
The fighter exchange pawing shots early in the second before Kimmons hits a beautiful hip toss takedown. However, Yang worms his way out from under him and manages to take his back. Kimmons gets to his side but is forced back to his stomach by Yang strikes. Kimmons is totally defensive but Yang, who has dominant position, really isn't doing much with it. Yang finally turns up the heat and Copeland stops the bout with Kimmons unable to answer the flurry of punches. The official time of the stoppage is 4:47, giving Yang the TKO win.
Takeya Mizugaki vs. Reuben Duran
Round 1
Herb dean will call the shots for this bantamweight tilt. Mizugaki and Duran exchange fast and wild shots with neither gaining the upper hand. Mizugaki tries to grab the neck of Duran and punch, but the UFC newcomer blasts his way out with a flurry of his own. Duran catches a kick and answers with a straight right and then repeats it again. Mizugaki shoots at the 10 second warning but can't get the takedown before the horn. Sherdog has the first 10-9 for Duran.
Round 2
It is more of the same in the second round as sporadic exchanges unfold with neither fighter really getting the better of it. Mizugaki finally gets the fight to the ground with a little more than two minutes left but he can't keep Duran down. Mizugaki takes Duran back down from a bodylock and tries to take his back. Duran seizes the opening to stand back up as the round closes. Sherdog sees round two 10-9 for Mizugaki.
Round 3
Mizugaki lands a hard kick to Duran's lead leg, and then slips a right and answers with one of his own. Duran lands a kick to the body and misses one to the head. Mizugaki lands a kick to Duran's body then eats a one-two counter before planting Duran on the mat. Duran switches his hips looking for an escape but Mizugaki stays in control. Mizugaki tries to move to Duran's back, but nearly gets reversed before retreating to his feet. Duran is taken back down but gets right back up. The fighters clinch along the cage as time expires. Sherdog.com scores the third 10-9 for Mizugaki.
Official scores: 30-27, 27-30 and 29-28 for Takeya Mizugaki, winner by split decision.
Shane Roller vs. Thiago Tavares
Round 1
The final dark match kicks off with Mario Yamasaki at the helm. Roller is initiating most of the action early as he walks Tavares down while pistoning his jab. Tavares seems content to counter so far. Tavares finally comes forward but draws air with his combination. He finds his mark with the next flurry and forces Roller to cover up along the cage. Roller keeps his composure under fire but can't get anything else going the rest of the round. He keeps charging at Tavares who avoids his strikes and takedown attempts. Sherdog.com scores round one 10-9 for Tavares.
Round 2
Tavares nearly secures a takedown early in the second but Roller holds him off. After they separate Roller hammers him with a one-two and the right hand follow floors Tavares. Roller jumps on his helpless foe and punches him until Yamasaki can get there to stop the bout at 1:28 of the second round, giving Roller the KO win.
Joe Stevenson vs. Danny Castillo
Round 1
Gary Copeland is the referee for this lightweight bout. Stevenson pawing with his jab early. Castillo swings and misses with an overhand right, then a leaping knee. He drops for a takedown and gets stuffed by Stevenson, who drives a knee into Castillo’s gut. A few more follow as Stevenson walks him into the fence. Stevenson still working to complete the takedown, finally lifts Castillo high in the air. Castillo struggles and kicks, but Stevenson holds him there, adjusts and slams him down. Castillo stands, but Stevenson snares a guillotine and jumps guard. It looks bad momentarily, until Castillo drives Stevenson into the canvas. Now Castillo works from half-guard and Stevenson tries for another guillotine. This one isn’t tight and they’re soon back standing. Stevenson goes for another takedown and gets caught in a headlock, which Castillo soon abandons. They’re back to exchanging jabs with 50 seconds to go. Castillo staggers Stevenson with a one-two and pours on further punches, but Stevenson survives on his feet and lands a knee at the end of the round. Castillo answers with one of his own and a wide, swinging combo.

Round 2
Stevenson inches forward and Castillo intermittently swings haymakers in the opening minute. Castillo goes to his jab and feints changing levels on Stevenson. Nice left hook connects for Castillo, who stuffs a takedown. Stevenson continues digging for it against the fence, eventually lifting and slamming Castillo again. Stevenson works to advance past half-guard as Castillo ties up underneath. He gets to side control for an instant before Castillo regains full guard. Castillo throws elbows from underneath as Stevenson tries to posture up. When Stevenson does, Castillo takes the opportunity to stand and chases Stevenson down. Stevenson drops to a knee and gets drilled with an illegal knee strike from Castillo. No point is deducted as referee Copeland deems the knee unintentional. The action continues and Castillo throws a few leaping knees in the final seconds.

Round 3
Castillo getting the better of the exchanges early with hooks and leg kicks. After a minute, Stevenson goes for a takedown against the cage and gets reversed. Castillo spins out and grabs a headlock while Stevenson keeps driving at his legs. Castillo stands and drives a series of knees into Stevenson’s chest. Stevenson stands, pinned against the fence, and jumps for another guillotine. This time, Castillo has none of it and slams himself loose. Stevenson scrambles to his feet, where Castillo now drives for a takedown. Stevenson grabs at yet another guillotine as he’s taken down, but he doesn’t have the angle. Castillo gets loose and scoops Stevenson against the base of the cage, where he drives more knees to the body of “Joe Daddy.” One minute left and Stevenson is just trying to stay vertical. Castillo gets the takedown and Stevenson gets back up, but he’s bleeding from the left side of his head and looks in real trouble. Castillo gets another takedown and unleashes a torrent of hard punches before the horn.

Steve Cantwell vs. Cyrille Diabate
Round 1
Cantwell swings a leg kick and some hard punches early, until Diabate comes through with a hard one-two of his own and begins throwing hard kicks to Cantwell’s legs and body. Diabate digs a few more smacking kicks to the body, but Cantwell grabs the second and rushes “The Snake” to the ground. Cantwell works from Diabate’s half-guard, can’t get anywhere, so he stands. Diabate takes the chance to get to his feet and drives a knee into Cantwell’s gut in the ensuing clinch. They split and it’s back to more leg kicks from Diabata, then a knee to the face. He just misses with a jumping knee. Diabate strings together a three-piece to the head and body, followed by a knee. He stuffs a shot from Cantwell and lands another knee. Cantwell goes backwards and Diabate picks his shot, dropping Cantwell with a serious left uppercut. Cantwell shoots in desperation and Diabate just can’t finish him before the end of the round.

Round 2
Diabate goes straight back to the body kicks in the second, sizing up Cantwell and using his range to pick his shots. More uppercuts getting through for Diabate now. He slams a single, huge inside leg kick into Cantwell’s right calf, then one to the ribs. Now it’s Diabate who takes Cantwell down. He stays there long enough to drive a few punches to the body and then allows Cantwell to stand. Diabate keeps his distance, content to duck inside and pick Cantwell apart at will. Cantwell is trying to get jabs through, and a few of them do, but they don’t faze Diabate, who continues to bounce and kick away. Cantwell shoots a double-leg from way out and gets sprawled on. Diabate spins around and takes Cantwell’s back, causing Cantwell to turtle. Diabate lands hard punches from behind until Cantwell has enough and stands. Diabate gets Cantwell against the fence and drills him with half a dozen hard elbows and uppercuts. Cantwell’s left eye is cut and swollen, and it’s a wonder he’s still standing. He shoots desperately and winds up on his back. The round ends with Cantwell turtled and covering up as Diabate throws shots.

Round 3
The men volley jabs to start the last round, but again, only Diabate’s are getting through. Still more leg kicks come from Diabate. Cantwell gets an overhand right to find its mark and throws a leg kick of his own. Diabate goes to the body and the difference in power is noticeable. Cantwell, to his credit, continues to come forward while Diabate backs up and picks his shots. Uppercut and a right hook land flush for Diabate, then a lighter four-punch combo. Diabate snaps his man’s head back with a jab and sprawls easily on a shot. Cantwell gives it up and goes back to giving chase with less than two minutes to go. Diabate going half-speed down the stretch, staring at Cantwell with his hands at his side and then coming forward with a string of kicks and uppercuts that don’t look designed to finish. That’s how it ends.

Brian Bowles vs. Damacio Page
Round 1
Referee Chris Kinman officiates this bantamweight rematch. Both men swinging from the bell, with Page rushing Bowles with flying knees and huge punches. Bowles gets his bearings and starts to work his jab, but Page is still attacking with low kicks, spinning kicks and uppercut-hook combos. Another right leg kick connects from Page, but he eats a one-two. Bowles comes over the top with a right and scores with an uppercut. He ducks a huge right from Page, gets clipped by the wide left follow-up and then Page jumps him with a knee. Page chops at the left leg of Bowles and appears to catch the ex-champ with a finger in the right eye. An uppercut sends Page stumbling back and Bowles pounces, diving into guard and wailing away with punches and elbows. Page scrambles and dives at a leg, and Bowles drops back for a guillotine. Page goes to sleep almost instantly and Bowles notifies Kinsman his opponent is out. The fight is waved off at 3:30 of the first round, the exact same time it took Bowles to finish Page in their first meeting.
Alessio Sakara vs. Chris Weidman
Round 1
Gary Copeland is in charge of this middleweight tilt. Weidman faking wide punches and ducking low, looking for an angle on a shot, but Sakara’s not biting. Sakara comes forward with a punching combo and a leg kick, then lands another. Weidman fires off a high kick that backs Sakara up into the fence, and Weidman takes the chance to shoot. He can’t finish and goes back to throwing hands. He’s throwing more than Sakara, but Sakara’s combinations are crisper and harder when they come. Weidman shoots again halfway through the round and pins Sakara against the fence with a high double-leg. Sakara gets loose and goes back to landing punches and kicks, then stuffs a shot. Sakara, bleeding from his right eye, eats a half dozen stiff jabs from Weidman. Sakara is backing off in the last minute, circling the outside as Weidman moves forward.

Round 2
Sakara comes out landing left jabs and hook, but Weidman soon decides to spin the Italian to the ground. Weidman grinds and pounds from half-guard, further bloodying the already bloody Sakara. It’s a huge gash on the brow of Sakara, above the left eye. It’s absolutely gushing as Weidman passes to side control and pounds away. Weidman briefly traps Sakara’s left arm, but Sakara gets it back. Sakara’s face is covered in red with 2:20 still to go in the round, and he moves Weidman back to half-guard. Sakara explodes and sweeps, getting to his feet and landing a flurry of shots before Weidman drags him back down. Sakara stands once more, but he’s looking in rough shape and referee Copeland calls for the cageside physician. Sakara doesn’t want the check and wipes his bloody face off on Copeland’s chest. Nonetheless, he’s checked by the doctor and cleared to continue. Weidman connects with punches and knees, trying to finish Sakara, but Sakara won’t go down. Sakara drives a couple three-punch combos to the midsection of Weidman before the horn.

Round 3
Weidman goes back to his jab and Sakara continues where he left off, pounding to the body. After 45 seconds, Weidman drives Sakara into the base of the fence and moves to side control on Sakara’s right. Sakara’s cut has opened up as Weidman mashes from on top. Weidman looks to be framing up a kimura, switches to head-and-arm control, and then gives that up. He passes to half-guard on Sakara’s other side and ref Copeland commands them to stand. Weidman trades for a moment before plowing Sakara right back down. Again, Weidman goes to side control, scoots Sakara away from the fence and starts dropping elbows. Sakara is bloody and dazed, but still throwing from underneath. With 30 seconds to go, Sakara pushes Weidman off and scrambles to his feet, only to be taken back down five seconds later. Weidman finishes punching from side control.

C.B. Dollaway vs. Mark Munoz
Round 1
Mario Yamasaki is the ref for this middleweight contest. Dollaway immediately gets to work with kicks to the lead leg of Munoz, who tries to punch over the top. He catches Munoz coming in and spins him to the ground, digging a punch to the body of the kneeling Munoz. Dollaway lets him to the feet. Munoz corks Dollaway with a right hand and Dollaway falls to his back. Munoz pounces and appears to turn out Dollaway’s lights with a hammer fist, then wakes him back up with another. Yamasaki steps in for the save and Dollaway stays on the canvas for a moment. When he stands, he seems displeased with the stoppage, but doesn’t protest excessively. The official time is 54 seconds of the first round.
Diego Sanchez vs. Martin Kampmann
Round 1
Referee Herb Dean returns to oversee the lightweight main event. Chris Lee, Sal D’Amato and William Mattingly are the judges at cageside. The taller Kampmann pushes forward and pumps jabs at the southpaw Sanchez. A three-piece gets through for Kampmann and Sanchez answers with one of his own. Kampmann pushes in from the center of the cage as Sanchez looks to counterstrike. Sanchez doubles over and pushes Kampmann into the fence, looking for a single-leg. Kampmann disengages and puts a nice knee on Sanchez’s chin as he does. A straight right hand drops Sanchez, and Kampmann grabs a front headlock as Sanchez tries to rise. Sanchez looks to take him down from the position and can’t get Kampmann down, but does extract himself. Kampmann continues pouring crisp punches on Sanchez, who’s now bleeding from the mouth. Sanchez drops for a single and eats a hard knee on his way down. Left hook and a straight right from Kampmann cut right through. Now bleeding profusely from the mouth, Sanchez continues to come forward, landing a few punches. It’s Kampmann doing most of the damage, though, and Sanchez’s nose is also looking busted up with 45 ticks on the clock. Sanchez rushes him into the cage, Kampmann complains of shorts-grabbing, and Sanchez wades back out. The round ends there.

Round 2
Sanchez goes for another single leg straight away and Kampmann shakes him off. Another attempt from Sanchez, and again he can’t finish. It’s more of the same from the first round, Kampmann getting the better of the striking, until Sanchez comes in for yet another single-leg. Again, Kampmann stays up and punches away at the bloody Sanchez. Another attempt, another sprawl. This time, when they split, Sanchez charges in and hurls a barrage of hooks at Kampmann. A few appear to sting the “Hitman,” but he survives. Kampmann is bleeding from his right eye now as he sprawls on another takedown attempt. Kampmann moving backwards, letting Sanchez chase him, backs Sanchez up with a straight right. Sanchez ends the round with another wild flurry, tagging Kampmann again just before the horn.

Round 3
Sanchez lands a nice blow to the gut. Kampmann stuffs a takedown attempt and lands a solid knee. Sanchez pushes forward with a combo, dives for a takedown and gets sprawled on once more. Sanchez throws a combination and gets through with a hard left. He backs Kampmann into the fence and goes for another takedown, and finally lands one. Kampmann doesn’t stay down for long, though, scrambling to his feet and going back to his jab. Kampmann puts a straight right on Sanchez, who walks through it and hurls half a dozen punches in return. Sanchez is badly bloodied once again, but swarms on Kampmann nonetheless. Kampmann is repeatedly shaking out his right hand. Sanchez’s face is almost entirely stained with blood, but he’s the one pushing the action as the bout ends.

Round 1
The final dark match kicks off with Mario Yamasaki at the helm. Roller is initiating most of the action early as he walks Tavares down while pistoning his jab. Tavares seems content to counter so far. Tavares finally comes forward but draws air with his combination. He finds his mark with the next flurry and forces Roller to cover up along the cage. Roller keeps his composure under fire but can't get anything else going the rest of the round. He keeps charging at Tavares who avoids his strikes and takedown attempts. Sherdog.com scores round one 10-9 for Tavares.
Round 2
Tavares nearly secures a takedown early in the second but Roller holds him off. After they separate Roller hammers him with a one-two and the right hand follow floors Tavares. Roller jumps on his helpless foe and punches him until Yamasaki can get there to stop the bout at 1:28 of the second round, giving Roller the KO win.
Joe Stevenson vs. Danny Castillo
Round 1
Gary Copeland is the referee for this lightweight bout. Stevenson pawing with his jab early. Castillo swings and misses with an overhand right, then a leaping knee. He drops for a takedown and gets stuffed by Stevenson, who drives a knee into Castillo’s gut. A few more follow as Stevenson walks him into the fence. Stevenson still working to complete the takedown, finally lifts Castillo high in the air. Castillo struggles and kicks, but Stevenson holds him there, adjusts and slams him down. Castillo stands, but Stevenson snares a guillotine and jumps guard. It looks bad momentarily, until Castillo drives Stevenson into the canvas. Now Castillo works from half-guard and Stevenson tries for another guillotine. This one isn’t tight and they’re soon back standing. Stevenson goes for another takedown and gets caught in a headlock, which Castillo soon abandons. They’re back to exchanging jabs with 50 seconds to go. Castillo staggers Stevenson with a one-two and pours on further punches, but Stevenson survives on his feet and lands a knee at the end of the round. Castillo answers with one of his own and a wide, swinging combo.

Round 2
Stevenson inches forward and Castillo intermittently swings haymakers in the opening minute. Castillo goes to his jab and feints changing levels on Stevenson. Nice left hook connects for Castillo, who stuffs a takedown. Stevenson continues digging for it against the fence, eventually lifting and slamming Castillo again. Stevenson works to advance past half-guard as Castillo ties up underneath. He gets to side control for an instant before Castillo regains full guard. Castillo throws elbows from underneath as Stevenson tries to posture up. When Stevenson does, Castillo takes the opportunity to stand and chases Stevenson down. Stevenson drops to a knee and gets drilled with an illegal knee strike from Castillo. No point is deducted as referee Copeland deems the knee unintentional. The action continues and Castillo throws a few leaping knees in the final seconds.

Round 3
Castillo getting the better of the exchanges early with hooks and leg kicks. After a minute, Stevenson goes for a takedown against the cage and gets reversed. Castillo spins out and grabs a headlock while Stevenson keeps driving at his legs. Castillo stands and drives a series of knees into Stevenson’s chest. Stevenson stands, pinned against the fence, and jumps for another guillotine. This time, Castillo has none of it and slams himself loose. Stevenson scrambles to his feet, where Castillo now drives for a takedown. Stevenson grabs at yet another guillotine as he’s taken down, but he doesn’t have the angle. Castillo gets loose and scoops Stevenson against the base of the cage, where he drives more knees to the body of “Joe Daddy.” One minute left and Stevenson is just trying to stay vertical. Castillo gets the takedown and Stevenson gets back up, but he’s bleeding from the left side of his head and looks in real trouble. Castillo gets another takedown and unleashes a torrent of hard punches before the horn.

Steve Cantwell vs. Cyrille Diabate
Round 1
Cantwell swings a leg kick and some hard punches early, until Diabate comes through with a hard one-two of his own and begins throwing hard kicks to Cantwell’s legs and body. Diabate digs a few more smacking kicks to the body, but Cantwell grabs the second and rushes “The Snake” to the ground. Cantwell works from Diabate’s half-guard, can’t get anywhere, so he stands. Diabate takes the chance to get to his feet and drives a knee into Cantwell’s gut in the ensuing clinch. They split and it’s back to more leg kicks from Diabata, then a knee to the face. He just misses with a jumping knee. Diabate strings together a three-piece to the head and body, followed by a knee. He stuffs a shot from Cantwell and lands another knee. Cantwell goes backwards and Diabate picks his shot, dropping Cantwell with a serious left uppercut. Cantwell shoots in desperation and Diabate just can’t finish him before the end of the round.

Round 2
Diabate goes straight back to the body kicks in the second, sizing up Cantwell and using his range to pick his shots. More uppercuts getting through for Diabate now. He slams a single, huge inside leg kick into Cantwell’s right calf, then one to the ribs. Now it’s Diabate who takes Cantwell down. He stays there long enough to drive a few punches to the body and then allows Cantwell to stand. Diabate keeps his distance, content to duck inside and pick Cantwell apart at will. Cantwell is trying to get jabs through, and a few of them do, but they don’t faze Diabate, who continues to bounce and kick away. Cantwell shoots a double-leg from way out and gets sprawled on. Diabate spins around and takes Cantwell’s back, causing Cantwell to turtle. Diabate lands hard punches from behind until Cantwell has enough and stands. Diabate gets Cantwell against the fence and drills him with half a dozen hard elbows and uppercuts. Cantwell’s left eye is cut and swollen, and it’s a wonder he’s still standing. He shoots desperately and winds up on his back. The round ends with Cantwell turtled and covering up as Diabate throws shots.

Round 3
The men volley jabs to start the last round, but again, only Diabate’s are getting through. Still more leg kicks come from Diabate. Cantwell gets an overhand right to find its mark and throws a leg kick of his own. Diabate goes to the body and the difference in power is noticeable. Cantwell, to his credit, continues to come forward while Diabate backs up and picks his shots. Uppercut and a right hook land flush for Diabate, then a lighter four-punch combo. Diabate snaps his man’s head back with a jab and sprawls easily on a shot. Cantwell gives it up and goes back to giving chase with less than two minutes to go. Diabate going half-speed down the stretch, staring at Cantwell with his hands at his side and then coming forward with a string of kicks and uppercuts that don’t look designed to finish. That’s how it ends.

Brian Bowles vs. Damacio Page
Round 1
Referee Chris Kinman officiates this bantamweight rematch. Both men swinging from the bell, with Page rushing Bowles with flying knees and huge punches. Bowles gets his bearings and starts to work his jab, but Page is still attacking with low kicks, spinning kicks and uppercut-hook combos. Another right leg kick connects from Page, but he eats a one-two. Bowles comes over the top with a right and scores with an uppercut. He ducks a huge right from Page, gets clipped by the wide left follow-up and then Page jumps him with a knee. Page chops at the left leg of Bowles and appears to catch the ex-champ with a finger in the right eye. An uppercut sends Page stumbling back and Bowles pounces, diving into guard and wailing away with punches and elbows. Page scrambles and dives at a leg, and Bowles drops back for a guillotine. Page goes to sleep almost instantly and Bowles notifies Kinsman his opponent is out. The fight is waved off at 3:30 of the first round, the exact same time it took Bowles to finish Page in their first meeting.
Alessio Sakara vs. Chris Weidman
Round 1
Gary Copeland is in charge of this middleweight tilt. Weidman faking wide punches and ducking low, looking for an angle on a shot, but Sakara’s not biting. Sakara comes forward with a punching combo and a leg kick, then lands another. Weidman fires off a high kick that backs Sakara up into the fence, and Weidman takes the chance to shoot. He can’t finish and goes back to throwing hands. He’s throwing more than Sakara, but Sakara’s combinations are crisper and harder when they come. Weidman shoots again halfway through the round and pins Sakara against the fence with a high double-leg. Sakara gets loose and goes back to landing punches and kicks, then stuffs a shot. Sakara, bleeding from his right eye, eats a half dozen stiff jabs from Weidman. Sakara is backing off in the last minute, circling the outside as Weidman moves forward.

Round 2
Sakara comes out landing left jabs and hook, but Weidman soon decides to spin the Italian to the ground. Weidman grinds and pounds from half-guard, further bloodying the already bloody Sakara. It’s a huge gash on the brow of Sakara, above the left eye. It’s absolutely gushing as Weidman passes to side control and pounds away. Weidman briefly traps Sakara’s left arm, but Sakara gets it back. Sakara’s face is covered in red with 2:20 still to go in the round, and he moves Weidman back to half-guard. Sakara explodes and sweeps, getting to his feet and landing a flurry of shots before Weidman drags him back down. Sakara stands once more, but he’s looking in rough shape and referee Copeland calls for the cageside physician. Sakara doesn’t want the check and wipes his bloody face off on Copeland’s chest. Nonetheless, he’s checked by the doctor and cleared to continue. Weidman connects with punches and knees, trying to finish Sakara, but Sakara won’t go down. Sakara drives a couple three-punch combos to the midsection of Weidman before the horn.

Round 3
Weidman goes back to his jab and Sakara continues where he left off, pounding to the body. After 45 seconds, Weidman drives Sakara into the base of the fence and moves to side control on Sakara’s right. Sakara’s cut has opened up as Weidman mashes from on top. Weidman looks to be framing up a kimura, switches to head-and-arm control, and then gives that up. He passes to half-guard on Sakara’s other side and ref Copeland commands them to stand. Weidman trades for a moment before plowing Sakara right back down. Again, Weidman goes to side control, scoots Sakara away from the fence and starts dropping elbows. Sakara is bloody and dazed, but still throwing from underneath. With 30 seconds to go, Sakara pushes Weidman off and scrambles to his feet, only to be taken back down five seconds later. Weidman finishes punching from side control.

C.B. Dollaway vs. Mark Munoz
Round 1
Mario Yamasaki is the ref for this middleweight contest. Dollaway immediately gets to work with kicks to the lead leg of Munoz, who tries to punch over the top. He catches Munoz coming in and spins him to the ground, digging a punch to the body of the kneeling Munoz. Dollaway lets him to the feet. Munoz corks Dollaway with a right hand and Dollaway falls to his back. Munoz pounces and appears to turn out Dollaway’s lights with a hammer fist, then wakes him back up with another. Yamasaki steps in for the save and Dollaway stays on the canvas for a moment. When he stands, he seems displeased with the stoppage, but doesn’t protest excessively. The official time is 54 seconds of the first round.
Diego Sanchez vs. Martin Kampmann
Round 1
Referee Herb Dean returns to oversee the lightweight main event. Chris Lee, Sal D’Amato and William Mattingly are the judges at cageside. The taller Kampmann pushes forward and pumps jabs at the southpaw Sanchez. A three-piece gets through for Kampmann and Sanchez answers with one of his own. Kampmann pushes in from the center of the cage as Sanchez looks to counterstrike. Sanchez doubles over and pushes Kampmann into the fence, looking for a single-leg. Kampmann disengages and puts a nice knee on Sanchez’s chin as he does. A straight right hand drops Sanchez, and Kampmann grabs a front headlock as Sanchez tries to rise. Sanchez looks to take him down from the position and can’t get Kampmann down, but does extract himself. Kampmann continues pouring crisp punches on Sanchez, who’s now bleeding from the mouth. Sanchez drops for a single and eats a hard knee on his way down. Left hook and a straight right from Kampmann cut right through. Now bleeding profusely from the mouth, Sanchez continues to come forward, landing a few punches. It’s Kampmann doing most of the damage, though, and Sanchez’s nose is also looking busted up with 45 ticks on the clock. Sanchez rushes him into the cage, Kampmann complains of shorts-grabbing, and Sanchez wades back out. The round ends there.

Round 2
Sanchez goes for another single leg straight away and Kampmann shakes him off. Another attempt from Sanchez, and again he can’t finish. It’s more of the same from the first round, Kampmann getting the better of the striking, until Sanchez comes in for yet another single-leg. Again, Kampmann stays up and punches away at the bloody Sanchez. Another attempt, another sprawl. This time, when they split, Sanchez charges in and hurls a barrage of hooks at Kampmann. A few appear to sting the “Hitman,” but he survives. Kampmann is bleeding from his right eye now as he sprawls on another takedown attempt. Kampmann moving backwards, letting Sanchez chase him, backs Sanchez up with a straight right. Sanchez ends the round with another wild flurry, tagging Kampmann again just before the horn.

Round 3
Sanchez lands a nice blow to the gut. Kampmann stuffs a takedown attempt and lands a solid knee. Sanchez pushes forward with a combo, dives for a takedown and gets sprawled on once more. Sanchez throws a combination and gets through with a hard left. He backs Kampmann into the fence and goes for another takedown, and finally lands one. Kampmann doesn’t stay down for long, though, scrambling to his feet and going back to his jab. Kampmann puts a straight right on Sanchez, who walks through it and hurls half a dozen punches in return. Sanchez is badly bloodied once again, but swarms on Kampmann nonetheless. Kampmann is repeatedly shaking out his right hand. Sanchez’s face is almost entirely stained with blood, but he’s the one pushing the action as the bout ends.
