The light heavyweight has been provisionally suspended by USADA as a result of the violation. The substance for which Lawlor tested positive was not revealed. As usual, the 33-year-old is entitled to a full legal review process before any sanctions are imposed.

Lawlor did not currently have a fight booked. He last appeared at UFC 196 on March 5, when he lost a unanimous decision against Corey Anderson in Las Vegas.

“Filthy” Tom made his Octagon debut at “The Ultimate Fighter 8” finale in December 2008 and has compiled a 6-5 record within the Las Vegas-based promotion since then.
