South Korean standout Seo Hee Ham will try to get her first Octagon victory in front of a partisan crowd when she takes on American Cortney Casey next month in Seoul.
Ultimate Fighting Championship on Tuesday announced that strawweights Ham and Casey will clash at UFC Fight Night “Henderson vs. Alves,” which takes place Nov. 28 at Seoul’s Olympic Gymnastics Arena. Headlined by a welterweight fight between Benson Henderson and Thiago Alves, the card will stream live on UFC Fight Pass in the U.S. on Nov. 27.
Ham saw a six-fight winning streak broken when she lost her UFC debut to Joanne Calderwood via unanimous decision last December. A former 105-pound champion in Japan’s Jewels organization, the diminutive striker sometimes known as “Hamderlei Silva” has captured 13 of her 15 victories by way of decision.
Casey was also defeated by Calderwood in her first Octagon appearance, a bout which Casey accepted on less than two weeks’ notice. Prior to that loss, “Cast Iron” had won three in a row under the banner of Guam-based organization Pacific Xtreme Combat.
