Four fighters earned “Performance of the Night” awards at UFC Fight Night “Hunt vs. Miocic” on Sunday, as Robert Whittaker, James Vick, Daniel Hooker and Alex Chambers each pocketed $50,000 for stellar Octagon efforts at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Whittaker earned his performance bonus with a spectacular knockout of Brad Tavares. The 24-year-old Australian starched the notoriously durable Hawaiian early with a pair of wicked left hooks, dropping the Hawaiian on both occasions before polishing off his opponent 44 seconds into the initial stanza of their middleweight tilt.

Hooker became the first person to knock out Hatsu Hioki in 37 professional bouts, picking up some additional income in the process. A left high kick from Hooker rocked his Japanese adversary, and a couple right hands sent Hioki tumbling face first to the canvas, ending the contest 4:13 into round two.
Finally, a come-from-behind victory netted Chambers her bonus, as she rallied to submit Kailin Curran with an armbar at the 3:15 mark of round three. The improbable tapout came after Curran spent the first two rounds overwhelming Chambers with a variety of strikes to race to what appeared to be a clear lead on the scorecards.
