Ashkan Mokhtarian will welcome newcomer Kai Kara-France to the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 142.

Promotion officials recently announced the flyweight pairing. UFC Fight Night 142 takes place at Adelaide Entertainment Center in Adelaide, Australia on Dec. 1. The card will likely air on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

A 32-year-old native of Sydney, Mokhtarian is still seeking his first UFC victory after dropping back-to-back fights against Ryan Benoit and John Moraga in 2017. “The Assassin” owns a 13-3 career mark, with all but one of his victories coming inside the distance.

Kara-France, 25, is 17-7 with one no contest since beginning his professional tenure in 2010. The Auckland, New Zealand native appeared on Season 24 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” losing to Alexandre Pantoja in the quarterfinals of the reality show. The fighter known as “Don’t Blink” will enter his first promotional foray on a five-fight winning streak.
