UFC Fight Night 96 Weigh-in Results: John Lineker Misses Weight Again

Linker has been on a tear recently, having won five straight bouts -- three via stoppage -- since losing to Ali Bagautinov at UFC 169. The Brazilian torched Michael McDonald in the first of the main event of UFC Fight Night 91 back in July and he hopes to do the same to Dodson when they lock horns. At Friday’s weigh-ins, Lineker was up to his old tricks as he failed to make weight for the fifth time in his UFC career as he came in at 136.5, half a pound over the bantamweight limit.
Dodson, a former two-time UFC flyweight title challenger, had a solid return to bantamweight in his last outing. After losing for the second time to Demetrius Johnson, “The Magician” moved up a weight class and lit Manny Gamburyan up like a Christmas tree and knocked him out in just 37 seconds in April. Unlike Lineker, Dodson was on weight; he tipped the scale at 135 pounds.
UFC Fight Night 96 “Lineker vs. Dodson” will begin on UFC Fight Pass at 7:15 p.m. ET/4:15 pm. PT (live odds). From there, Fox Sports 1 will pick up the remained of the card starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
