Tarec Saffiedine has waited for this moment for almost a year.

Saffiedine tipped the scales at 170 pounds for his clash with Hyun Gyu Lim (171) in the UFC Fight Night 34 main event on Saturday at the Marina Bay Sands in Marina Bay, Singapore. Featherweight co-headliners Tatsuya Kawajiri (145) and Sean Soriano (145) also met their mandated weight requirements without issue at Friday’s official weigh-in.

Anchored at Team Quest, Saffiedine has rattled off four straight wins. The 27-year-old Belgian last competed in January 2012, when he leg kicked his way to a unanimous decision over Nate Marquardt and won the Strikeforce welterweight championship. Saffiedine’s past six bouts, including a loss to American Top Team’s Tyron Woodley, have gone the distance.

Lim -- who replaced the injured Jake Ellenberger -- has finished seven consecutive opponents, six of them inside one round. A former Pacific Xtreme Combat champion, the 28-year-old Korean Top Team export last appeared at UFC 164 in August, when he took out Pascal Krauss with a knee and follow-up punches at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Two of Lim’s three career defeats have come by submission.

UFC Fight Night 34 “Saffiedine vs. Lim” -- which will stream to UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 a.m. ET/3:30 a.m. PT -- will also feature a welterweight tilt pitting Kiichi Kunimoto (171) against Luiz Jorge Dutra Jr. (171) and a bantamweight battle pairing Kyung Ho Kang (136) with Shunichi Shimizu (135). Six preliminary bouts will round out the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first trip to Singapore: Max Holloway (146) vs. Will Chope (146), Katsunori Kikuno (156) vs. Quinn Mulhern (155), Royston Wee (134) vs. Dave Galera (136), Mairbek Taisumov (155) vs. Tae Hyun Bang (156), Dustin Kimura (135) vs. Jon delos Reyes (135) and Leandro Issa (136) vs. Russell Doane (135).
