The UFC Fight Night 240 weigh-ins were a bit of a catastrophe, as four competitors missed the mark by multiple pounds.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship kicks off its busy April with a card that officially has 12 bouts on the billing, for now. Headlining the event is an intriguing middleweight rematch between Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis. Both contenders stepped on the scale weighing 186 pounds on the dot. Several combatants failed to hit their proper marks as four fighters missed weight: Alexander Hernandez, Cynthia Calvillo and would-be bantamweight opponents Nora Cornolle and Melissa Dixon. All four fighters exceeded their respective weight limit by at least two pounds, and Calvillo vs. Piera Rodriguez has been canceled by the promotion.

"The Action Man" returns to the Octagon after defeating Marc-Andre Barriault earlier this year via split decision. This marks the first headlining UFC bout for Curtis (31-10, 1 NC). The Xtreme Couture product is looking to pick up a second win over Allen, who he picked up a TKO win over in 2021.

Since the defeat to Curtis, Allen (23-5) has won six straight fights. "All In" most recently submitted Paul Craig, Bruno Silva, Andre Muniz and Krzysztof Jotko with rear-naked chokes. The Kill Cliff FC fighter is just 28 and is 2-0 in UFC main event slots.

UFC Fight Night 240 will stream live in its entirety on ESPN+ on Saturday. Prelims begin at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT and the main card starts at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
