The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns after a rare week off with a UFC Apex card featuring an intriguing lightweight main event.
UFC Fight Night 229 is headlined by Grant Dawson vs. Bobby Green. Both lightweight contenders successfully made weight for the five-round main event. Every fighter also made weight for the 11-fight card.

This marks the second UFC main event for Green (30-14-1, 1 NC), who is coming off a win over Tony Ferguson. Prior to the win, "King" had been on a rough stretch that saw him lose to Islam Makhachev and Drew Dober by knockout and fought Jared Gordon to a no contest after an accidental clash of heads stopped the fight. The 37-year-old will look to show he has more left in the tank and officially weighed 156 pounds on the dot.
UFC Fight Night 229 will air in its entirety on ESPN+ on Saturday. The main card starts at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, while the prelims begin at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
