UFC Fight Night 125 Medical Suspensions: Priscila Cachoeira, Timothy Johnson Facing 6 Months

Priscila Cachoeira and Timothy Johnson are looking at six months on the sideline following their bouts at UFC Fight Night 125.

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) released a list of medical suspensions from the event on Monday. UFC Fight Night 125 took place at the Mangueirinho Gymnasium in Belem, Brazil, this past Saturday night.

Cachoeira absorbed a lopsided beating at the hands of Valentina Shevchenko in the evening’s co-main event, losing via rear-naked choke in the second round while being outlanded by 227 total strikes. The Brazilian has been suspended 180 days with no contact unless she is cleared by an orthopedist. However, Cachoeira recently revealed that she will need surgery for a torn ACL and meniscus, so she could be sidelined significantly longer than six months.

Meanwhile, Johnson is facing 180 days on the shelf after a unanimous decision triumph over Marcelo Golm in a featured heavyweight clash. Johnson must be cleared by an otolaryngologist before he can compete. At a minimum, he is suspended 21 days with 14 days of no contact.
