UFC Fight Night 117 Medical Suspensions: Three Fighters Facing 6-Month Layoffs

Three competitors from
UFC Fight Night 117 are facing indefinite medical suspensions
after this past Friday’s card in Japan.
Morono (right hand), Daichi Abe
(needs clearance from maxillofacial surgeon) and Hyun Gyu
Lim (needs ophthalmologist clearance) have all been handed
180-day suspensions pending medical clearance. The UFC, which
regulated the event, recently released a list of medical

Preux submit short-notice foe Yushin Okami
with a Von Flue choke in the evening’s light heavyweight main
event. Okami was suspended 45 days due because he didn’t tap to the
choke, with a minimum 30-day suspension with no contact.

Morono: Suspended 180 days or until cleared by X-ray for right
hand, and suspended 30 days with 21 days no contact for right
Abe: Suspended 180 days or until cleared by maxillofacial
surgeon, and suspended minimum 45 days with 30 days no contact
Gyu Lim: Suspended 180 days or until cleared by
