UFC Fight Night 100 Bonuses: Almeida, Ferreira, Antiglov, Munhoz Pocket $50K

Thomas Almeida, Cezar Ferreira, Gadzhimurad Antigulov and Pedro Munhoz all pocketed $50,000 “Peformance of the Night” paychecks at UFC Fight Night 100 in Sao Paulo on Saturday night.

Almeida rebounded from a knockout loss to Cody Garbrandt in the evening’s co-main event, as he stopped Bellator MMA and World Series of Fighting veteran Albert Morales in the second round at bantamweight. Morales held his own with the Brazilian for a while, but Almeida iced the victory with a flurry of punches punctuated by a left hook to the body at the 1:37 mark of the period.

Meanwhile, Ferreira halted Jack Hermansson’s nine-bout winning streak in a preliminary middleweight clash. “Mutante” landed a takedown early in round two, advanced position and secured an arm-triangle choke. Hermansson tapped out 2:11 into the frame.

Antigulov had a memorable Octagon debut, as he made short work of Brazilian foe Marcos Rogerio de Lima in an undercard heavyweight duel. Antigulov landed a takedown within 20 seconds and worked his way to side control. From there, the Dagestani fighter gave up the position to secure a guillotine choke, eliciting a tapout 67 seconds after the contest began.

Finally, after struggling for most of the bout, Munhoz rallied for a second-round submission victory against Justin Scoggins in a bantamweight encounter. Scoggins controlled much of the action with a multi-faceted standup arsenal, but when he attempted to return to his feet after slipping on a kick, Munhoz was able to snatch a guillotine choke. Scoggins asked out of the fight at the 1:55 mark of round two.
