UFC, DISH Network Renew Multi-Year Agreement for PPV Distribution

The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today that it has renewed a multi-year partnership with DISH Network to continue providing customers with UFC pay-per-view events.

The agreement comes just in time for fight fans y to purchase UFC 187, which will air live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Saturday.

Terms of the deal have not been made public, but Marshall Zelaznik, the UFC’s Chief Content Officer, said the UFC is “thrilled that DISH will continue to carry UFC PPV events and featured content.”

DISH and UFC recently came to an impasse, which led to the satellite provider refusing to carry the UFC 186 broadcast. DISH has roughly 14 million subscribers, which is about 15 percent of the country’s total number of homes with pay-per-view capabilities. The company is one of the three major pay-per-view providers in the U.S., along with inDemand and DirecTV.
