UFC 222 Update: Light Heavweights Jordan Johnson, Adam Milstead to Clash in Las Vegas

A light heavyweight contest pitting Jordan Johnson against Adam Milstead has been added to the UFC 222 lineup.

Promotion officials recently announced the pairing. UFC 222 takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 3 and is headlined by a featherweight championship showdown between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar.

Anchored at the MMA Lab, Johnson authored decision victories over Marcel Fortuna and Henrique da Silva in the Octagon last year to run his professional mark to 8-0. The former Resurrection Fighting Alliance titlist has finished five of his wins inside the distance.

Milstead, meanwhile, debuted in the promotion with a second-round stoppage of Chris de la Rocha at UFC Fight Night 88. Most recently, a TKO loss to Curtis Blaydes at UFC Fight Night 104 was overturned to a no contest after Blaydes tested positive for marijuana. That bout ended an eight-fight winning streak at heavyweight for Milstead, who will drop to 205 pounds to face Johnson.
