Gadzhimurad Antigulov vs. Joachim Christensen

Round 1

Antigulov rushes to close the distance, eats a left hand from Christensen on his way inside, but the Russian completes an early takedown near the fence. Christensen tries to take the back in the ensuing scramble, but Antigulov scrapes him off and instead takes Christensen's back. Antigulov now works from the back with both hooks in and more than three minutes left in the opening round. Christensen fights away Antigulov's hands for a few seconds, but Antigulov is relentless in his search for the rear-naked choke. Christensen gets caught and stretched out, and he's forced to submit.

The Official Result

Gadzhimurad Antigulov def. Joachim Christensen via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) R1 2:21

Enrique Barzola vs. Gabriel Benitez

Round 1

Benitez strikes first with a loud pair of kicks to Barzola's lead leg and midsection, with a hard, straight left hand in between. "Moggly" connects with another heavy kick, then a left hand that leaves Barzola staggering backward. Barzola changes levels for a takedown, lifts and deposits Benitez on the mat near the fence. Benitez is on his back for only a few seconds before his shifting guard creates room for him to stand. Barzola hits another takedown but again can't contain Benitez on the floor. Benitez goes upstairs with another vicious kick, deflected off Barzola's forearm, then fires a hard left down the center. Barzola eats the shots and comes inside for another takedown, now with just over 90 seconds on the clock. Benitez is back up 20 seconds later, now circling off his back foot as Barzola steps forward. Benitez clocks his opponent with another clean left hand, now an inside leg kick and a kick to the body. Benitez gets tagged with a looping right hand in the final 20 seconds, though, and Barzola finishes the round with one last takedown.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Benitez
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Benitez
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Benitez

Round 2

Benitez goes back to his heavy left hand, connecting to Barzola's already reddened nose, then has a left high kick barely blocked by the Peruvian. Barzola shoots in and completes another takedown, but Benitez scrambles back up within seconds. Barzola tries to hold the Tijuana native against the cage but loses his underhook, and now it's Benitez pressing forward again. Barzola changes levels for yet another takedown; this time, he passes to side control, but Benitez still manages to escape to his feet. Barzola jumps guard with a guillotine but loses it immediately, and the featherweights come back to their feet. With two minutes left in the round, Barzola gets Benitez in a rear waistlock at the fence; "Moggly" turns around and circles away from the clinch. Barzola rushes in behind a flurry of punches to complete a single-leg at the fence, but once again, Benitez posts and stands straight away. Barzola keeps the pressure on Benitez and socks the Mexican fighter with a hard uppercut. They finish the frame clinched on the fence, Barzola holding the outside position.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Barzola
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Barzola
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Barzola

Round 3

Benitez slips throwing a kick, springs back to his feet, but Barzola closes the distance and completes a quick takedown at the wall. Barzola postures up and drops punches through Benitez's guard, then takes the back of "Moggly" when he turns over. Benitez rolls to his knees at the base of the fence and gets caught in a rear-naked choke. Benitez rolls away from the fence and peels away Barzola's hands, then clears the hooks and scrambles to his feet. Barzola presses forward with punches, can't land anything cleanly but shoots in to try a double-leg at the fence. Benitez fends off the first attempt, the second, then jabs Barzola back to the center of the cage. Down to the final 90 seconds now, Barzola shoots another double, lifts and slams Benitez to the ground. Benitez opens his guard, looking for a last-ditch armbar from the bottom, but Barzola sniffs it out and defends. The featherweights scramble up with 45 seconds left to fight. Benitez lands a body kick, answered by Barzola with an overhand right. Benitez gets the final say with a straight left hand that plants Barzola on his seat right at the horn.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Barzola (29-28 Barzola)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Barzola (29-28 Barzola)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Barzola (29-28 Barzola)

Jessica Aguilar vs. Cortney Casey

Round 1

Casey connects with a two-piece combination straight away, but Aguilar lands a low kick that trips "Cast Iron" to the canvas. Aguilar follows her downed opponent to the mat, but Casey throws up her long guard and forces the veteran to stand. Casey kicks Aguilar away, jumps back to her feet and blitzes the American Top Team fighter with a four- or five-punch combination at the fence. Aguilar dashes away and resets, then begins to press forward, but she walks into more punches and kicks from the larger woman. Another low kick from Aguilar drops Casey; this time, Aguilar grabs hold of one of Casey's legs and drags her back to the center of the cage. Halfway through the opening round, the still prone Casey pops the standing Aguilar with an upkick. Aguilar kneels down in Casey's guard, and the pace slows on the ground; referee Kerry Hatley orders the fighters back to their feet with 90 seconds on the clock. Casey bounces a pair of hooks off Aguilar's arms but scores with an uppercut at the end of the combo. Aguilar tries to clinch and gets spun against the fence by Casey, who closes the round with another uppercut. Aguilar swings back with an overhand right that staggers Casey a split-second after the horn.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Casey
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Casey
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Casey

Round 2

Casey blitzes Aguilar with another punching combination, then catches Aguilar with a knee as the Bellator veteran tries to change levels. Aguilar gets hold of a leg and trips Casey to the ground, but again Casey is able to use her longer limbs to hit Aguilar with an upkick. Aguilar stands over her grounded opponent but has to beware of her legs, as Casey throws constant upkicks at Aguilar's knees. Referee Hatley brings Casey back to her feet with 3:30 remaining in the round. Casey lands a clean pair of hooks, finished again with the uppercut, as Aguilar continues to have difficulty getting inside striking range on the taller fighter. Aguilar catches a low kick and drives Casey to the ground; Aguilar continues to stand over Casey, who catches "Jag" with another hard upkick to the face, plus a few to the legs. Aguilar finally decides to kneel down in Casey's half guard in the final minute, but nothing much transpires on the floor.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Casey
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Casey
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Casey

Round 3

Casey brings the pressure with more combinations at the start of the round. When Aguilar tries to tie up, Casey turns her around and presses her against the cage, peppering with open palm strikes until they separate a few seconds later. Casey tags Aguilar with more punches, and now the face of "Jag" is a bloody mess with plasma leaking from her nose. Casey is still firing heavy shots here in the latter half of the final round, still catching Aguilar with uppercuts. Aguilar tries to clinch at the fence, gets her head pulled down in the Thai plum and has to bail out. Aguilar completes a takedown with 80 seconds on the clock but can't keep Casey on the floor. Aguilar comes forward with punches in the final 20 seconds, connecting with a few, but it looks like too little, too late.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Casey (30-27 Casey)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Casey (30-27 Casey)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Casey (30-27 Casey)

Marco Polo Reyes vs. James Vick

Round 1

Reyes opens with an inside leg kick and has to move out of the way a few times as the taller Vick tests the distance with front kicks. A few more low kicks connect for Reyes, but now Vick is starting to graze with punches down the center. Vick lands a spinning kick to the body of Reyes, who gets sloppy with his punches and eats a perfect right-handed counter in return. Reyes crashes to the mat in the center of the cage, already finished, but referee Don Turnage allows Vick to drop a few more punches before stepping in to stop the bout.

The Official Result

James Vick def. Marco Polo Reyes via TKO (Punches) R1 2:39

Rashad Coulter vs. Chase Sherman

Round 1

Coulter blocks a high kick from Sherman and sticks the "Vanilla Gorilla" with a right-handed counter down the middle. A low kick lands for Sherman, who eats another right hand from Coulter but seems unfazed this time. Coulter is starting to reach with his punches, trying to duck inside and deliver an overhand, and Sherman is timing the strikes, countering with two-piece combos and low kicks. Sherman comes around the outside with a left hook as they hit the midway point of the round; Coulter answers with a right hand to the jaw that momentarily wobbles Sherman's legs. Coulter backs up and allows Sherman to come forward, and then "Daywalker" ducks down to catch the incoming Sherman with an overhand right. Meanwhile, Sherman continues to chop away at Coulter's lead leg, and Coulter is starting to stumble when he plants the leg to throw punches. Coulter is wary of the kicks now, raising his left leg to check even before Sherman throws.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Sherman
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Sherman
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Sherman

Round 2

Coulter connects with an overhand right, but as soon as Sherman begins landing leg kicks again, Coulter is in trouble. Sherman tries to polish off his hobbled opponent with knees in the Thai clinch, winds up hurling Coulter to the ground at the base of the fence. Sherman is pounding away, trying to finish Coulter with left hands on the floor, but Coulter survives. The heavyweights return to their feet, where another leg kick nearly puts Coulter on the floor. Coulter is trying to get back into this, loading up on overhand rights which occasionally catch Sherman. The more measured approach of Sherman is winning out, however, as he pours on the punishment from range, picking at Coulter with jabs and kicks. Coulter is exhausted, back against the cage, when Sherman steps in and delivers a crushing elbow to the temple. Coulter falls in a heap and referee Jacob Montalvo steps in for the stoppage.

The Official Result

Chase Sherman def. Rashad Coulter via KO (Elbow) R2 3:36

Jason Knight vs. Chas Skelly

Round 1

The southpaw Knight lands the first hard shot of the fight with a straight left as he presses forward on Skelly in the opening minute. Skelly tags him back with a left hook, drawing a nod of recognition from Knight. Seconds later, Skelly gets in on a single-leg and drives Knight to the ground at the base of the fence. Knight throws up rubber guard and then tries to use an omoplata to sweep, but Skelly extracts his right arm and escapes danger. Knight threatens with a triangle and uses it to stand, but Skelly clings to a leg until he's able to complete another takedown. Knight hits the omoplata sweep this time and winds up on top with 80 seconds on the clock. Knight tries a kimura from the top, can't get it and now wants Skelly back on his feet. Skelly clinches up on the fence, gets turned around, and it's Knight scoring a late takedown to finish the round.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Knight
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Knight
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Knight

Round 2

Knight bounces forward on Skelly, looking to land his heavy left hand, then catches a kick and trips the wrestler to the ground. Knight wants Skelly back on his feet, but when he gets back up, Skelly catches "The Kid" with a hard right hand of his own. Knight nods at Skelly before lunging forward with more punches, keeping Skelly on his back foot. Skelly grabs for a double-leg and gets pushed away by Knight, who fends off the next takedown try, too. Halfway through the round and the fight, it's Knight controlling the action on the feet as he continues to keep the fight standing. Skelly slows things down with a double-leg attempt up against the fence, switches to a single but still can't take down Knight in this round. Skelly gets reversed against the fence, tries to grab a guillotine but loses it as he's taken down by Knight inside the final minute of round two. Knight rolls Skelly into a crucifix position and tries for an armbar, but Skelly rolls over and stands. Both featherweights connect with solid punches just before the end of the round.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Knight
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Knight
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Knight

Round 3

Knight steps into the pocket behind a left hand and blows up Skelly's spot with a hellacious uppercut. Skelly wobbles for a few steps, falls to the ground and rolls to his knees as Knight bashes away with right hands. Referee Jacob Montalvo is having a close look; Skelly's left arm is trapped behind him, allowing Knight to land clean punches to the face and forcing the ref into action for the stoppage.

The Official Result

Jason Knight def. Chas Skelly via TKO (Punches) R3 0:39

Eddie Alvarez vs. Dustin Poirier

Round 1

The southpaw Poirier has a high kick blocked but gets through with one to Alvarez's midsection. Another body kick from Poirier gets the attention of Alvarez, who steps inside as if to shoot but then backs out of the pocket. Poirier sticks a jab, backing up Alvarez as they enter the third minute of the opening round. Alvarez ducks low as Poirier steps forward and hits the "Diamond" with a body shot; Poirier answers with a left hand and another body kick. Poirier continues to stick hard, straight left hands down the middle, and his forward pressure looks to be freezing Alvarez a bit. After being backed up to the fence, Alvarez steps forward with a right hook and gets out of the way of Poirier's return fire. Poirier sticks another jab, a body kick and dodges as Alvarez tries to get his right hand going in the closing seconds.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Poirier
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Poirier
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Poirier

Round 2

Alvarez backs up Poirier with a right hand and runs the taller man against the fence to try a takedown. Poirier threatens with a brief standing guillotine choke, but Alvarez extracts his head and continues to work in the clinch. Unable to secure a takedown, Alvarez swings a pair of hooks as he backs out of the clinch and lets Poirier off the wall. Poirier sticks a jab, ducks under a right from Alvarez and comes back up with a body shot. Lead uppercut lands for Poirier, now another stiff jab to Alvarez's grill. A cracking left hook sends Alvarez reeling backward, barely standing up as he leans against the fence. Poirier is teeing off with punches, trying for the finish, but Alvarez is hanging in there, ducking low and loading up to try some Hail Mary punches. Poirier briefly considers a guillotine, then resumes his punching, but after landing another hard left hook, Alvarez tags him back. Alvarez turns the tables by putting the suddenly stung Poirier against the fence and wailing away with punches. Poirier tries the choke again, can't get it, and now it's Alvarez completing his first takedown of the fight with about 90 seconds left in the round. Poirier tries to stand, keeping one hand on the mat, and Alvarez knees him in the head. Referee Herb Dean steps in to pause the fight and calls the doctor to check on Poirier.

After consulting with the doctor and learning that Poirier is having difficulty with his eyesight, referee Dean waves off the contest.

The Official Result

Dustin Poirier vs. Eddie Alvarez is ruled a No Contest (Accidental Knee to Head of Grounded Fighter) R2 4:12

David Branch vs. Krzysztof Jotko

Round 1

After an opening minute which sees southpaw Jotko pressing forward as both middleweights test the range, Branch changes levels and hits a takedown on his first attempt. Branch postures up in Jotko's open guard as the 185ers fight in the center of the cage. Short elbows and body punches connect for Branch, who pulls Jotko's head forward in a can opener to land a slashing elbow. Jotko scoots backward to the fence, posts and stands at the midway point of the round, but Branch is still draped all over him with a rear waistlock. The fighters jockey for position on the fence and Branch winds up in the outside position, head- and hand-fighting with Jotko while mixing in some foot stomps. With 90 seconds left, Jotko hits a sudden trip takedown, but he can't keep Branch on the ground for more than a few seconds. Back on the feet, Branch corrals Jotko against the fence and holds him there, grinding away with short strikes and frustrating the Polish fighter until the end of the round.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Branch
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Branch
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Branch

Round 2

Jotko takes the better part of a minute to work his way inside and clinch with Branch on the fence. The clinch doesn't last very long, and it ends with Jotko whirling around to clip Branch with a spinning elbow on the break. Branch loses control of a low kick and catches Jotko on the cup, but Jotko is OK to continue after just a few seconds to recover. Jotko catches the incoming Branch with a pair of left hands, then snuffs out a brief takedown attempt from the New Yorker. Halfway through the round, Branch ducks under a Jotko punch and explodes into a double-leg takedown, but Jotko posts and stands up almost immediately. Back on the feet, Jotko continues to find a home for his left hand. Branch swings a wild left of his own just to get into range, then hugs Jotko against the fence. Referee Don Turnage warns Branch to stay active, then separates the fighters. Jotko grazes the face of Branch with a spinning kick in the last 40 seconds, but Branch shakes it off and hits another quick takedown.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jotko
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Jotko
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Jotko

Round 3

The middleweights take a minute to get going in the final round, then engage as Branch steps inside to try a takedown. Jotko fends off the attempt and smacks Branch with a left hand on the break. Branch comes back to tie up, this time with over-unders, and he succeeds in trapping Jotko against a cagepost. As in both previous rounds, Jotko raises his arms in frustration as Branch hugs him against the cage. Referee Turnage separates the fighters with just under half the round remaining. Branch hits a strong double-leg a few feet away from the fence, then tries to snare Jotko in a choke as the Pole gets back to his feet. Jotko stays clear of danger but winds up right back on the cagepost, now with only 70 seconds remaining. Referee Turnage separates the fighters one more time. Jotko dings Branch with an uppercut in the last 20 seconds, but Branch just wraps up his opponent and puts him back on the wall until the final horn.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jotko (29-28 Jotko)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-10 (29-29 Draw)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Branch (29-28 Branch)

Frankie Edgar vs. Yair Rodriguez

Round 1

Edgar presses forward on Rodriguez in the opening 30 seconds, deflecting the first combination from "El Pantera" to return fire with a right hand. Edgar keeps coming, backs up Rodriguez with another right hook, but Rodriguez spins around in close quarters to hit the former UFC champ with a spinning elbow. Edgar latches on to a leg for a takedown but has to extract his head from a Rodriguez guillotine attempt as they hit the mat. Rodriguez uses his long guard to try and control the action on the floor, but Edgar is getting through with some heavy ground-and-pound when he finds the room. Down to the final 90 seconds of round one, Edgar continues to abuse Rodriguez on the ground, laying a dozen or more hard punches on the prospect's face while stacking him up at the base of the fence. Edgar stands and tries to finish the fight with a quickfire volley of punches, but Rodriguez covers up well and hits Edgar with a hammerfist from the bottom. Edgar puts head pressure on Rodriguez's chin for the final seconds of the round, after while Rodriguez returns to his corner with a massive welt beneath his left eye.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-8 Edgar
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-8 Edgar
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-8 Edgar

Round 2

Rodriguez, whose left eye is nearly swollen shut as he emerges for round two, tries to fend off Edgar with a series of kicks in the opening minute. Edgar dives on a high double-leg in the center of the cage, but Rodriguez resists the first surge. Edgar completes the takedown on the second try, but now Rodriguez attacks the legs of "The Answer," working for a kneebar. Rodriguez nearly gets the leg extended, but Edgar manages to bend his knee and stack up Rodriguez in the center of the cage. Rodriguez does not release the kneebar, allowing Edgar to drop ground-and-pound before stepping over to full mount. Rodriguez escapes and tries to throw up an armbar, but Edgar is too heavy on top and easily defends the sub attempt. Edgar is back in Rodriguez's guard with more than two minutes left in the round. The New Jerseyan lands sporadic ground strikes down the stretch, never allowing Rodriguez an inch of space to escape.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Edgar
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Edgar
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Edgar

The fight is called off between rounds due to Rodriguez's badly damaged left eye.

The Official Result

Frankie Edgar def. Yair Rodriguez via TKO (Doctor Stoppage) R2 5:00

Demian Maia vs. Jorge Masvidal

Round 1

Maia takes the center of the cage and then dives on the legs of Masvidal, who sprawls well as he works his way around the edge of the cage. Masvidal threatens with a guillotine but never forces Maia to release his grip on the single-leg, and now Maia finally completes the takedown. Masvidal rolls to his knees, and Maia immediately attaches himself to the back of "Gamebred." Masvidal stands up and leans backward against the fence, Maia still locked in back-mount with a body triangle. Maia throws right hands from Masvidal's back, working to soften him up for a rear-naked choke. Masvidal has Maia's left hand locked down, keeping himself out of RNC danger for the time being. Maia still has more than two minutes to work, however, and he continues to fish for the choke in between punches. Maia switches to hooks, back to a body triangle, but the choke doesn't look any closer to materializing as the welterweights enter the final minute of round one. Masvidal finally shakes Maia off his back in the last 30 seconds and tries to punch the Brazilian unconscious, but Maia survives the late assault.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Maia
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Maia
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Maia

Round 2

Maia is looking much stiffer at the start of round two; his first takedown attempt, from way out, is easily denied by Masvidal. "Gamebred" sprawls on the next long shot, too, and then punches Maia in the face on the way up. Maia shoots again, gets sprawled on, pulls his head out of a loose guillotine attempt and then attacks Masvidal's legs. Masvidal does well to scramble and escape, but seconds later, Maia is diving for the legs again. Maia gets hold of a double-leg and plants Masvidal at the base of the fence. Masvidal tries the guillotine again, but Maia appears unfazed by the choke and continues to advance position on the floor. With two minutes left in the round, it's Maia working on top in Masvidal's half guard. Masvidal posts and gets back to his feet, but Maia is wrapped around his waist from behind and trips him back to the floor. Maia takes the back of Masvidal inside the final minute, but again Masvidal shows good defense and prevents the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace from securing a choke.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Masvidal
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Masvidal
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Masvidal

Round 3

It's a slow start to the final frame as both men appear hesitant to engage. Masvidal works from the center while Maia moves around the outside, and it's a good two minutes of circling and pawing from both fighters before Masvidal begins to string a few strikes together. Maia blocks a high kick, changes levels and latches on to a single-leg. Masvidal yanks the leg free but stumbles to the ground near the fence, and Maia jumps all over him. Masvidal kneels with his back to the fence, Maia hanging over his back, triangling Masvidal's right leg. Maia is hunting for the rear-naked choke again but doesn't have the angle, as he's not fully on Masvidal's back. Masvidal jerks left to get his head out of the loose RNC attempt, but in doing so, he allows Maia enough space to fully secure back-mount once again. Maia is locked on with the body triangle now and more than a minute left in the fight. Masvidal is on his back with Maia underneath, trying to bridge but without enough room to operate, rolled against the fence as he is. Maia is still working to soften up Masvidal for a choke when the final horn sounds.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Maia (29-28 Maia)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Maia (29-28 Maia)
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Maia (29-28 Maia)

The Official Result

UFC Women's Strawweight Championship:
Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Jessica Andrade

Round 1

Jacob Montalvo is the referee for the first of tonight's two title bouts. The champion Jedrzejczyk opens strong with a trio of sharp kicks to Andrade's lead leg. Andrade absorbs a few more kicks before tagging Jedrzejczyk with a pair of hooks in the next exchange. Jedrzejczyk backpedals and resets, then resumes low-kicking the challenger's lead leg. Andrade rushes inside to dig an underhook and pins the champion against the cage. Andrade switches levels, grabs hold of a single-leg and slams Jedrzejczyk to the ground. Jedrzejczyk is sporting a massive hematoma on the right side of her forehead as she elevates and escapes to her feet. Andrade doesn't let her opponent go far, trapping Jedrzejczyk on the fence with the underhook as they hit the midway point of round one. Jedrzejczyk breaks out of the tie-up with a high knee, waits for Andrade to come forward and pops the challenger with a hard jab, drawing a smile from Andrade. Jedrzejczyk goes upstairs with left high kick, slapping the head of Andrade, who smiles again. Jedrzejczyk gets in and out of the Thai clinch, delivering a knee to the body of Andrade and escaping before she can retaliate. Andrade comes in for another clinch in the last 30 seconds, drops for a single and runs Jedrzejczyk to the ground once again. Jedrzejczyk jumps back up immediately and resists Andrade's last single-leg attempt of the round.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk

Round 2

Jedrzejczyk goes straight back to attacking Andrade's lead leg, then backpedals away when Andrade loads up for a telegraphed attack. Andrade presses forward and walks into a stiff jab, then a front kick to the chest. Andrade is trying to corner Jedrzejczyk on the fence, but each time she's closed to getting trapped, Jedrzejczyk cuts an angle and escapes. Andrade continues to come forward, albeit tentatively, clearly wary of the larger fighter's more accurate and varied strikes. Andrade puts her head down and bombs on Jedrzejczyk with a no-look overhand right; Jedrzejczyk takes it on the cheek and flashes a smile at her challenger before circling away again. Andrade's attacks are becoming increasingly reckless, while Jedrzejczyk continues to land pinpoint jabs and kicks off her back foot. Inside the last 80 seconds of the round, Andrade finally closes the distance and gets a takedown, but Jedrzejczyk is back on her feet within seconds. Andrade eats a head kick in the last 30 seconds but manages to turn the dangerous situation into a late takedown.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk

Round 3

Jedrzejczyk takes the center of the cage to start round three, but her tactic remains the same, constantly picking at Andrade with jabs and low kicks, keeping the shorter fighter outside of striking range. Andrade bombs forward with a wild, windmilling combination which doesn't connect, but succeeds in getting her close enough to clinch with Jedrzejczyk. Andrade can't get the takedown, can't keep Jedrzejczyk in the clinch, and soon the strawweights are back to striking from distance. It's all Jedrzejczyk in the striking game, with Andrade unable to get much of anything going, struggling to navigate the Polish striker's lengthy reach. Andrade continues to swing big right hands, but the punches aren't even coming close to Jedrzejczyk at this point. Andrade tries another late takedown, but this time she receives a hard knee to the gut for her trouble.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk

Round 4

Andrade presses forward to start the championship rounds, and Jedrzejczyk feeds the challenger a right high kick to the face. Andrade is still looking for the homerun, launching herself at Jedrzejczyk with big swinging punches; Jedrzejczyk sees them coming almost every time and gets out of the way. Jedrzejczyk is putting some hard punches on Andrade, but "Bata Estaca" just eats everything the champion has and continues to walk forward. Andrade gets hold of Jedrzejczyk near the fence and looks for a trip or something useful in the clinch. Instead, she gets Jedrzejczyk's knee in her midsection a few times while the champion fends off another takedown attempt. Andrade grabs on to a high single-leg and dumps Jedrzejczyk to the ground, but Jedrzejczyk springs back to her feet before Andrade can establish position. It's more of the same from Jedrzejczyk down the stretch, absorbing very little damage while planting hard counters on the incoming Andrade.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk

Round 5

Andrade steps into the pocket and gets hit with a stiff jab and a hard kick to the ribs. Jedrzejczyk circles the perimeter on her back foot, while the desperate Andrade charges forward, looking to get anything going here in the final round. Straight punches from Jedrzejczyk continually snap back Andrade's head; somehow, the Brazilian never goes down, and in fact barely registers any effect from the strikes. Andrade is starting to get inside and connect with some overhand rights, but there may not be much left on the punches at this stage of the bout, and Jedrzejczyk continues to blast back with the harder shots anyhow. Andrade eats a pair of nasty right crosses in the last 45 seconds, but she just keeps on coming forward. Jedrzejczyk opts to tie up in the final moments and holds Andrade on the fence until time expires.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk (50-45 Jedrzejczyk)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Jedrzejczyk (50-45 Jedrzejczyk)

UFC Heavyweight Championship:
Stipe Miocic vs. Junior dos Santos

Round 1

Veteran official Herb Dean is the referee for tonight's heavyweight championship main event. The champion Miocic opens with an inside leg kick, then checks the one he receives in return from dos Santos. Miocic presses out from the center, forcing dos Santos backward to the fence. Dos Santos puts a few hard kicks on Miocic's lead leg, and suddenly the champion is moving gingerly on his left foot. Nonetheless, Miocic is closing the gap, finding his range and catching dos Santos with some heavy punches. Dos Santos continues to back up very close to the cage, and now Miocic gets him cornered. Miocic catches dos Santos off balance, trying to circle to his right, and the champion tees his challenger up perfectly with a massive right hand. Dos Santos takes the punch right on the jaw and immediately collapses to his knees at the foot of the fence. Referee Dean gives the challenger a moment to try and recover, but Miocic is pouring on the ground-and-pound, looking at the ref to stop the fight, and Dean obliges. Stipe Miocic retains his UFC heavyweight title and avenges the last defeat on his record with a first-round knockout of Junior dos Santos.
