UFC 198 Update: Zubaira Tukhugov vs. Renato Carneiro Set for May 14 in Brazil

Zubaira Tukhugov will lock horns with Renato Carneiro at UFC 198 on May 14.

Promotion officials recently revealed the featherweight matchup. UFC 198 takes place at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil, and is headlined by a heavyweight title clash between Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic.

Tukhugov enters the matchup on a nine-fight winning streak that includes triumphs over Philipe Nover, Ernest Chavez and Douglas Silva de Andrade in UFC competition. The 25-year-old Russian last appeared at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on Dec. 10, when he captured a split verdict against Nover.

Carneiro kept his unbeaten record intact in his promotional debut, as he submitted Tom Niinimaki at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Dollaway" in December 2014. “Moicano,” who is 9-0-1 as professional overall, has not competed since that victory.
