Siler announced the matchup via Twitter on Friday. UFC 159 takes
place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., and is headlined by
a light heavyweight title tilt between “The Ultimate Fighter 17”
Jones and Chael Sonnen.
Hettes and Siler were originally scheduled to square off at UFC on
FX 4 before Hettes was forced to withdraw from the contest due to
Hettes suffered the first loss of his professional career at UFC
152, dropping a unanimous decision to Marcus
Brimage in September. Prior to that defeat, “The Kid” had won
10 straight fights, including triumphs over Alex Caceres
Phan inside the Octagon.
