A quartet of featherweights has been added to the developing UFC 157 bill, promotion officials announced Thursday, as Chad Mendes meets Manny Gamburyan and Matt Grice faces Dennis Bermudez at the Feb. 23 event.

UFC 157 takes place at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Headlined by the first women’s fight in UFC history, the evening’s pay-per-view broadcast will see Ronda Rousey defend her newly christened bantamweight title against former Strikeforce contender Liz Carmouche.

Mendes, 27, has recorded just 2:26 of combined cage time in his last two fights, earning knockouts over “Ultimate Fighter” Season 12 alum Cody McKenzie in July and Octagon newcomer Yaotzin Meza just five days ago at UFC on FX 6. In 14 career outings, Mendes has stumbled just once, falling by knockout to featherweight champion Jose Aldo this past January in the UFC 142 headliner.

Gamburyan last competed in August, when he took a unanimous decision over Dream and Sengoku veteran Michihiro Omigawa at UFC on Fox 4. The triumph halted a three-fight skid for the onetime WEC title challenger, who suffered defeats to Tyson Griffin and Diego Nunes in his first two Octagon appearances.

Known as “The Real One,” Grice is currently in his second run with the UFC, returning to the Octagon last year on the strength of a four-fight winning streak. Following his technical knockout defeat at the hands of Ricardo Lamas at UFC Live 4, Grice rebounded with a unanimous decision victory over Leonard Garcia nearly one year later, outpointing “Bad Boy” on June 8 at UFC on FX 3.

A finalist on “TUF 14,” Bermudez made his official UFC debut at the show’s live season finale in December 2011, finishing in the runner-up slot after submitting to a Diego Brandao armbar. “The Menace” responded with a pair of victories, however, outpointing Pablo Garza in May before taking out Tommy Hayden three months later at UFC 150.
