UFC 156 Medical Suspensions: Frankie Edgar, Evan Dunham, Francisco Rivera Face 6 Months
Three fighters from Saturday’s UFC 156 card have been handed potential six-month medical suspensions by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
The NAC on Monday released a full list of suspensions from the event, which took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, lightweight Evan Dunham, who scored a unanimous decision victory over Gleison Tibau in a preliminary contest, faces six months on the shelf after suffering a right orbital fracture. With doctor clearance he can compete as soon as April 4.
Francisco
Rivera began the evening’s festivities with a second-round
technical knockout triumph over Edwin
Figueroa in a bantamweight tilt. Rivera must have his right
hand or wrist x-rayed and cleared by a doctor or he will also be
sidelined until Aug. 2. The minimum suspension for “Cisco” is March
20.

Frankie Edgar: Must have facial CT scan to rule out left orbital fracture; if positive must have doctor clearance or no contest until Aug. 2. Minimum suspension no contest until April 4, no contact until March 20.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira: Needs clearance by an ophthalmologist before next fight on right eye injury.
Antonio Silva: Suspended until March 5; no contact until Feb. 24 for chin laceration.
Alistair Overeem: Suspended until March 20; no contact until March 5
Joseph Benavidez: Suspended until Feb. 24; no contact until Feb. 17 for forehead laceration
Evan Dunham: Must have right orbital blowout fracture cleared by an ophthalmologist or plastic surgeon or no contest until Aug. 2. Minimum suspension no contest until April 4; no contact until March 20
Gleison Tibau: Suspended until Feb. 24; no contact until Feb. 17
Jay Hieron: Suspended until April 4; no contact until March 20
Jacob Volkmann: Suspended until March 5; no contact until Feb. 24 for right eye contusion
Yves Edwards: Suspended until March 5; no contact until Feb. 24 for left eye laceration
Chico Camus: Suspended until Feb. 24; no contact until Feb. 17
Francisco Rivera: Must have right hand/wrist x-rayed, if positive needs orthopedic doctor clearance or no contest until Aug. 2. Minimum suspension no contest until March 20; no contact until March 5
Edwin Figueroa: Suspended until Feb. 24; no contact until Feb. 17 for left eye laceration
