UFC 155 Draws 13,561 Spectators For $3.2 Million Live Gate
UFC 155 attracted 13,561 spectators to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 29, earning a live gate of $3,286,025.
The figures were released by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday. UFC 155 was headlined by a heavyweight title showdown between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos, which Velasquez won via unanimous decision. The card also saw Jim Miller capture a unanimous verdict against Joe Lauzon in the evening’s co-main event.
Of those who attended the Las Vegas-based promotion’s final event of 2012, 10,590 paid for tickets, while another 2,971 gained admission with complimentary tickets. There were 347 tickets that were neither sold nor comped by the UFC.
