UFC 154 Gets Pablo Garza-Mark Hominick, Francis Carmont-Tom Lawlor
Two new bouts have joined the UFC 154 dance card, as promotion officials Thursday announced contests pitting Pablo Garza against Mark Hominick and Francis Carmont against Tom Lawlor.
UFC 154 takes place Nov. 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal and is expected to be headlined by a welterweight title unification bout between Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit, though that booking is contingent upon St. Pierre's recovery from a torn ACL. The pay-per-view event will also likely showcase another pivotal 170-pound scrap between Johny Hendricks and Martin Kampmann.

Like his foe, Hominick has also faltered in consecutive appearances. “The Machine” saw a five-fight winning streak snapped in his failed title bid against Jose Aldo last spring and would go on to lose his next two fights, falling by knockout to Chan Sung Jung in December and then via split decision to Eddie Yagin three months ago at UFC 145.
Carmont has yet to taste defeat in his UFC career, posting a trio of Octagon victories to extend his overall winning streak to eight fights. “Limitless” has bested Chris Camozzi, Magnus Cedenblad and Karlos Vemola since entering the UFC fold last October, outpointing Camozzi at UFC 137 before submitting his last two victims with rear-naked chokes on April 14 and July 11.
One year younger than his foe, Lawlor, 29, has won two of his last three fights, topping Patrick Cote to close out 2010 before submitting to Chris Weidman in his lone appearance of 2011. “Filthy” impressed in his most recent outing, however, stopping Canadian veteran Jason MacDonald in just 50 seconds at UFC on Fuel TV 3 in May.
