UFC 152 Bonuses: Jon Jones, Cub Swanson, T.J. Grant, Evan Dunham Pocket $65K Each

Four men walked away from UFC 152 with post-fight bonuses Saturday night, as Jon Jones, Cub Swanson, T.J. Grant and Evan Dunham each left Air Canada Centre in Toronto with an additional $65,000.

Jones and Swanson took home “Submission of the Night” and “Knockout of the Night” honors, respectively, while Dunham (Pictured, file photo) and Grant were awarded “Fight of the Night” for their three-round lightweight affair.

Jones emerged victorious in the evening’s headliner, submitting Vitor Belfort with a fourth-round keylock to retain the UFC light heavyweight championship. Though “Bones” took home the night’s submission bonus, it was the champion who was almost submitted by a Belfort armbar in round one. Jones powered out of the hold and went on to dominate the Brazilian for the remainder of the contest before forcing “The Phenom” to tap out 54 seconds into round four.

Swanson found himself outsized against the lanky Charles Oliveira, but the American nevertheless found a way to do damage on the inside. After escaping bottom position following a takedown, Swanson ripped a left to Oliveira's ribs that appeared to wither the former lightweight, despite Oliveira’s best efforts to mask the blow’s effect. Swanson smelled the blood in the water, however, and rifled an overhand right that caught Oliveira crisply on the cheekbone, causing him to wince badly before wilting to the canvas at 2:40 of the opening stanza.

Grant and Dunham both left it all inside the cage during their 15 minute lightweight confrontation, but it was Grant who ultimately saw his hand raised. The Canadian touched Dunham with a myriad of strikes in the first and second frames, including a sharp knee that opened a gash on the Oregonian's forehead. Despite absorbing that caliber of punishment, Dunham would not relent, coming back in the third round to land several flurries of his own. In the end, however, Grant walked with a unanimous decision, pocketing scores of 29-28 (twice) and 30-27.
