UFC 149 Bonuses: Ryan Jimmo, Matt Riddle, Bryan Caraway, Mitch Gagnon Pocket $65K Each

Four men walked away from UFC 149 with post-fight bonuses on Saturday night, as Ryan Jimmo, Matt Riddle, Bryan Caraway and Mitch Gagnon each took home an additional $65,000.

Caraway and Gagnon were awarded “Fight of the Night” honors, while Jimmo (Pictured, file photo) snatched “Knockout of the Night” for his devastating finish of Anthony Perosh. Riddle garnered “Submission of the Night” after tapping Chris Clements with a third-round arm-triangle at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta.

Jimmo wasted no time in launching his attack on Perosh, blasting the Aussie with an overhand right to the temple that stiffened Perosh and sent him crashing to the canvas. The Canadian followed up with ground-and-pound, but it proved unnecessary, as Perosh was unconscious, his head propped against the bottom of the fence. The end came just seven seconds into the bout, tying the official record for fastest knockout in promotional history.

Following two hard-fought rounds, Riddle seized an opening in the third frame, slipping a punch from Clements and locking up a standing arm-triangle choke. From there, “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 7 alumnus executed a trip and planted his foe on his back, cinching the choke and forcing Clements to tap out at 2:02 of the final stanza.

Caraway weathered an early storm from Gagnon, as the former “Ultimate Fighter” contestant ate some heavy ground-and-pound in the first frame before turning the tables in the final 10 minutes. Caraway used his superior ground game and conditioning to wear out his man in the second and third frames, taking Gagnon’s back and submitting him with a rear-naked choke 99 seconds into round three.
