UFC 133 ‘Prelims Live’ Draws 1.4 Million Viewers on Spike

Spike TV’s UFC 133 “Prelims Live” special netted an average of 1.4 million viewers for its hour-long broadcast on Saturday night.

Network officials informed Sherdog.com of the viewership numbers Tuesday, also making note that the telecast earned a 1.0 household rating.

Additionally, the undercard special posted ratings of 1.13 and 0.9 in the Male 18-34 and M18-49 demographics, respectively. The broadcast peaked during its third quarter-hour with 1.43 million viewers and was the No. 1 ranked program in the two aforementioned male demographics.

Two preliminary contests were featured during the telecast on Saturday night: featherweight contender Chad Mendes cruised to a one-sided unanimous decision over Rani Yahya, while Alexander Gustafsson (Pictured) earned an impressive second-round knockout over Matt Hamill. “Prelims Live” aired one hour prior to the event’s pay-per-view broadcast, which saw Rashad Evans earn a technical knockout over Tito Ortiz in the main event.
