Trio of Gracies, Eduard Folayang-Felipe Enomoto Added to One FC 5 in Philippines

Three members of MMA’s first family will compete at One FC 5 “Pride of a Nation” on Aug. 31.

Rolles Gracie (Pictured) will square off with Tony Bonello at light heavyweight, while Igor Gracie will meet Jung Hwan Cha at welterweight and Gregor Gracie will take on Nicholas Mann at middleweight.

Sherdog.com verified the matchups Friday with a source close to the event, who also confirmed that Filipino talent Eduard Folayang will lock horns with Swiss talent Felipe Enomoto. One FC 5 takes place at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines, and features appearances from ex-UFC champions Andrei Arlovski and Jens Pulver, as well as former two-division Dream titlist Bibiano Fernandes.

Rolles, 34, has won three straight fights since his ill-fated one-fight stint with the UFC in 2010, most recently stopping Pride veteran Bob Sapp in just 78 seconds at One FC 2 in February. By contrast, Bonello has not fought in over two years, capturing the King of the Cage cruiserweight title in his last bout by submitting Mike Bourke with an arm-triangle in February 2010.

Igor, 32, rides a four-fight winning streak into his inaugural One FC appearance and was last seen submitting Manuelo Morales in just 44 seconds. Cha saw a two-fight surge halted in his last fight when he fell victim to a Roan Carneiro armbar at Road FC 7.

A winner in four of his last five, 25-year-old Gregor suffered his second career defeat in his most recent bout, a June 23 decision loss at the hands of Adam Shahir Kayoom. In Mann, he faces a five-fight pro who has won four straight after dropping his first bout back in 2010.

The reigning URCC welterweight champion, Folayang had won six consecutive fights before falling via split decision to Ole Laursen on March 31. Enomoto’s lone win in his last four fights came over Laursen, as he submitted “Iron Fist” with a rear-naked choke Feb. 11 at One FC 2.
