Renowned mixed martial arts trainer Shawn Tompkins has died at the age of 37, reported the Canadian Press Sunday evening.

The report confirmed the news with the striking specialist’s manager, Gary Ibarra.

Tompkins, of London, Ontario, Canada, was instrumental in the careers of several Canadian fighters, including Mark Hominick and Chris Horodecki. The cause of his untimely death is pending.
