‘The Ultimate Fighter 16’ Ratings Decline Again; Episode 3 Draws 775,000 Viewers on FX

The third episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 16” drew a total of 775,000 viewers to FX last Friday, Sherdog.com today confirmed with an industry source.

Ratings for the UFC reality show have declined in the weeks since its Sept. 14 premiere, which brought in 947,000 viewers -- the lowest-rated debut in the series’ 7-year history. The second episode drew an audience of 872,000 on Sept. 28.

By comparison, the third episode of “TUF 15” -- also known as “The Ultimate Fighter: Live” -- pulled in an average of 1.2 million viewers when it aired on FX in March.

Last Friday’s episode saw Roy Nelson-coached Joey Rivera earn a majority decision over Shane Carwin charge Sam Alvey in a two-round welterweight bout.
