Although rising Ultimate Fighting Championship talent Terrance McKinney couldn’t aim for five knockouts in 2021, he will get a chance to start 2022 off right in February.

Win or lose, “T.Wrecks” has never left a fight in the hands of the judges as a pro, with 12 of his 14 outings ending in the first round. McKinney ended a two-fight skid to future UFC roster members Sean Woodson and Darrick Minner in 2019 by putting Dedrek Sanders away in 16 seconds in March. A pair of obliterations of Luiz Antonio Lobo Gavinho and Michael Irizarry led to his callup to the majors, where he steamrolled Matt Frevola in an incredible seven seconds in his UFC debut. The last four wins of the Sikjitsu product have combined for a total of 1:52 of cage time.
As the fight was scuttled hours before they planned to meet, Ziam did not get a new opponent in November. The Frenchman will still come into this meeting with a two-fight decision win streak over Jamie Mullarkey and Luigi Vendramini in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Since joining the promotion in 2019, “Smile Killer” has yet to appear more than once in a calendar year. A whole 75% of his wins have come by finish, although three of his last four triumphs resulted in judges’ decisions.
The Feb. 26 UFC Fight Night event will take place in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, with a major lightweight headliner pitting Beniel Dariush against Islam Makhachev in a potential title eliminator bout. Other key matchups set for the card include a middleweight clash between Makhmud Muradov and Misha Cirkunov, as well as 155-pound battle between Arman Tsarukyan and Joel Alvarez.
