The Ultimate Fighting Championship will travel to New Zealand for the first time this summer.

The promotion Monday announced that James Te Huna will make his middleweight debut against Nate Marquardt on June 28 in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card at Auckland’s Vector Arena. The event is the UFC’s second scheduled for June 28, when UFC Fight Night “Swanson vs. Stephens” is slated to go down in San Antonio, Texas.

Te Huna, 32, will make the drop to 185 pounds following back-to-back losses at 205 against Mauricio Rua and Glover Teixeira. The Australian-based Kiwi, who will fight in New Zealand for the first time, began his Octagon career with a 5-1 run at light heavyweight.

Conversely, 34-year-old Marquardt will return to the middleweight ranks after two years at welterweight. “Nate the Great” captured the Strikeforce welterweight title in 2012 but has not won in three bouts since, suffering knockouts against Jake Ellenberger and Hector Lombard in his last two bouts.
