‘TUF 27’ Finale Weigh-ins: Julian Marquez Misses Weight, Headliners Cleared

“The Ultimate Fighter 27” Finale is taking place Friday, July 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by Brad Tavares taking on undefeated Israel Adesanya.

Tavares, who is riding a four-fight win streak, weighed-in Thursday at 186 pounds. Adesanya also tipped the scales at 186 and will be looking to maintain his perfect record.

The lone fighter to miss weight Thursday was Julian Marquez (*190), who was off target by four pounds. He will be fined 30 percent of his purse, which will go to Alessio Di Chirico (186).

Also of note at Thursday’s weigh-ins, Thiago Santos (185.5) took to the scale as a backup for Tavares, who weeks ago was rumored to be on the brink of pulling out of the main event against Adesanya.
