‘TUF 22’ Finale Salaries: Frankie Edgar Earns Event-High $360,000 for KO Win

UFC featherweight Frankie Edgar was the star of the show at “The Ultimate Fighter 22” Finale, and the New Jersey native accordingly received the biggest paycheck from the Dec. 11 event in Las Vegas.

Edgar took home a disclosed $360,000 for his first-round knockout of Chad Mendes, according to payout information released on Monday by the Nevada Athletic Commission. “The Answer” earned a base salary of $180,000 which was doubled with a $180,000 win bonus when Edgar floored Mendes with a perfect left hook counter. Mendes earned $82,000 in defeat.

Other top earners on the card included lightweight contender Tony Ferguson ($100,000), heavyweight Gabriel Gonzaga ($76,000) and 155-pounder Evan Dunham ($68,000).

Note: The disclosed purses reported by state athletic commissions do not include any performance-based or discretionary bonuses that may be awarded to a fighter by the promotion.
