A battle of Octagon newcomers has been added to “The Ultimate Fighter 18” Finale, as Josh Sampo will collide with Ryan Benoit.

The flyweight clash takes place Nov. 30 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and precedes a headlining lightweight rematch between Gray Maynard and Nate Diaz. The Fox Sports 1-broadcast main card will also see the latest “TUF” winners crowned, as the 135-pound finalists in the men’s and women’s brackets square off in to-be-announced contests.

Sampo, 29, enters the Octagon as the reigning Championship Fighting Alliance flyweight titleholder, winning the belt this past January and then defending it successfully last month at CFA 12. “The Gremlin” has not lost since May 2012 and owns half of his career wins by submission.

Benoit is a twice-beaten prospect who has done his most recent damage within the Texas-based Legacy Fighting Championship, rebounding from a May defeat in Canada’s Maximum Fighting Championship to knock out Cody Fuller on Oct. 11 at LFC 24.
