‘TUF 17’ Finale Gets Uriah Hall-Kelvin Gastelum Final, 5 More Fights

Uriah Hall and Kelvin Gastelum will lock horns at “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 17 finale to decide the season’s winner.

The pairing was revealed during Tuesday night’s episode of “TUF 17,” as Hall pounded out Dylan Andrews and Gastelum submitted Josh Samman. The “TUF 17” finale takes place this Saturday at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and will also showcase the losing semifinalists, as Andrews faces Jimmy Quinlan and Samman takes on Kevin Casey.

A total of 11 “TUF 17” talents will appear on the card, including Robert McDaniel and Luke Barnatt, who face Gilbert Smith and Collin Hart, respectively. Team Jones representative Clint Hester will also compete on Saturday, though he will be the lone cast member not paired against a fellow “TUF 17” vet. Instead, Hester will take on “TUF 16” alum and ex-IFL talent Bristol Marunde.

Hall makes his official UFC debut following three impressive knockout victories during the “TUF 17” taping. The Jamaican-born New Yorker captured the Ring of Combat middleweight title in his most recent outing this past June, taking a unanimous decision from Nodar Kuduxashvili at ROC 41.

Gastelum, meanwhile, has never tasted defeat as a mixed martial artist, posting four straight wins before joining the “TUF 17” cast and running through McDaniel, Hart and Samman. The 21-year-old has finished all four of his professional opponents by either knockout or submission, stopping three of his victims inside of two rounds.
