TPF Flyweight Champ Willie Gates Meets John Moraga on Short Notice at UFC on Fox 13

Recently crowned Tachi Palace Fights flyweight champ Willie Gates will replace the injured Jussier da Silva and face John Moraga at UFC on Fox 13.
Promotion officials confirmed the matchup to Sherdog.com following an initial report from MMAFighting.com . UFC on Fox 13 takes place at the U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix and is headlined by a heavyweight tilt between Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic.
Gates earned a technical knockout triumph over Hector Sandoval 1:23 into the opening frame to capture flyweight gold at TPF 21 on Nov. 8. The Pinnacle MMA product has won five straight bouts, finishing each of his opponents inside of a round.
A former flyweight title challenger, Moraga is 2-1 since falling to reigning champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC on Fox 8. The Arizonan has bested Dustin Ortiz and Justin Scoggins while losing to John Dodson since coming up short in his title bid.
