Strikeforce Salaries: Lawler Banks $150,000 to Lead Jan. 7 Payroll

Middleweight veteran Robbie Lawler took home the largest paycheck from last Saturday’s Strikeforce “Rockhold vs. Jardine,” earning a flat rate of $150,000 for his first-round stoppage of Adlan Amagov ($10,000).

The Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday released salary information from the show, which took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The entire, 18-man payroll for the event totaled $566,000.

Strikeforce 185-pound champ and main event victor Luke Rockhold banked $90,000 (including a $25,000 win bonus) for his first successful title defense, a 4:26 thumping of UFC veteran Keith Jardine ($30,000).

Other top earners included ex-light heavyweight champ “King” Mo Lawal, who raked in $95,000 for his second-round knockout of Lorenz Larkin ($17,000), and top welterweight contender Tyron Woodley, who netted $60,000 with a split decision win over Canadian youngster Jordan Mein ($9,000).
