Ultimate Fighting Championship’s next event suffered a blow on Tuesday as the organization announced that heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic has withdrawn from UFC Fight Night “Poirier vs. Duffy.”

Miocic was slated to meet Ben Rothwell in the co-main event of the Oct. 24 card at 3Arena in Dublin. The UFC’s official statement did not specify the nature of the Ohioan’s injury.

“Gutted,” Miocic wrote on Twitter. “I’ll be back soon. But first I’d like to be able to put my socks on.”

The UFC stated that a replacement opponent for Rothwell “is currently being sought.” If he remains on the card, the top-10 heavyweight will go for his fourth consecutive win. Rothwell was last seen in June, when he took out Matt Mitrione with a first-round guillotine choke.
