Road Fighting Championship will hold 15 events next year in partnership with South Korean media conglomerate, CJ E&M.
Road FC officials recently announced the news, revealing that all 15 shows would be broadcast domestically by CJ E&M. The 15 events, which stream live internationally, will take place both in South Korea and Japan, according to the official release.
Founded in 2010, Road FC has held 13 major events over three years, hosting its most recent show on Oct. 12. That event saw Yui Chul Nam retain his lightweight title in the evening’s main event by outpointing Takasuke Kume in a rematch of their April encounter.
A subsidiary of the CJ Group, CJ E&M is divided into several divisions that produce various forms of entertainment, from film to music to live theater. CJ Group was established 60 years ago by Samsung founder Byung Chul Lee and originally focused on food production before the conglomerate’s interests were expanded in the 1990s to include entertainment.
