Source: Daniel Gallemore to Defend Victory FC Heavyweight Title on UFC Fight Pass

Victory Fighting Championship heavyweight champion Daniel Gallemore will put his title on the line against Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Razak Al-Hassan at Victory FC 57 on May 5, Sherdog.com has learned from a source close to the promotion.

The event will take place at the Kansas Expocentre in Topeka, Kansas, and will air live on UFC Fight Pass.

Gallemore (6-3), a veteran of Bellator MMA, will attempt to defend his title for the second time, after demolishing Derek Bohi in his first defense at VFC 55 last December. The 31-year-old Elevation Fight Team export initially claimed the promotion’s title with a first-round upset of Abe Wagner at VFC 50 in May of 2016.

Al-Hassan (12-5), fighting out of Kansas City, is perhaps most well known for being on the wrong end of a gruesome armbar finish at the hands of Steve Cantwell at UFC Fight Night 16 “Fight for the Troops.” The Roufusport product won his promotional debut against Demetrius Richards at VFC 32.

Victory Fighting Championship will open up its 2017 campaign on April 14 with VFC 56 at the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. Like all VFC events, it too, will air on UFC Fight Pass.
