Shawn Jordan to Lock Horns with Ruslan Magomedov in Houston at UFC 192

A heavyweight clash pitting Shawn Jordan against Ruslan Magomedov has been added to Oct. 3’s UFC 192, which takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston.

The matchup was initially reported by the Houston Chronicle.

Rallying from disappointing first-round knockouts at the hands of Matt Mitrione and Gabriel Gonzaga, Jordan (18-6) has pieced together a three-fight win streak against the likes of Jack May, Jared Cannonier and Derrick Lewis, whom he dispatched of with a spectacular kick to the face. The 30-year-old American Top Team product has 14 career knockouts.

Owner of an eight-fight win streak, Ruslan Magomedov is 2-0 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The 28-year-old Dagestani went the distance in seven of his last eight.

UFC 192 will be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight pitting Daniel Cormier against challenger Alexander Gustafsson and also features a high-profile contest matching Rashad Evans versus Ryan Bader.
