Sergio Pettis Gets Alex Caceres for Sophomore Octagon Effort at UFC on Fox 10

Unbeaten prospect Sergio Pettis will make his second Octagon appearance at UFC on Fox 10 opposite “The Ultimate Fighter 12” alumnus Alex Caceres.

UFC officials confirmed the bantamweight booking following an initial report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Thursday. UFC on Fox 10 takes place Jan. 25 at Chicago’s United Center and is headlined by a lightweight showdown pitting ex-UFC ruler Benson Henderson against onetime Strikeforce titlist Josh Thomson.

Pettis, 20, is the younger brother of reigning UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis. “The Phenom” has thus far been perfect through 10 pro outings, making a successful Octagon foray this past November by outpointing Will Campuzano at UFC 167.

Caceres, 25, would currently own a four-fight winning streak were it not for a positive marijuana test that prompted UFC officials to change his March split decision win over Kyung Ho Kang to a no-contest. “Bruce Leeroy” most recently competed on Sept. 21, when he edged “TUF 14” alum Roland Delorme in a split verdict at UFC 165.
