Sarah Kaufman will attempt to defeat Alexis Davis for the third time when the women meet in a bantamweight contest at UFC 186 “Dillashaw vs. Barao 2” on April 25.

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the pairing on Tuesday. The pay-per-view event takes place at Bell Centre in Montreal and is headlined by a bantamweight championship rematch between T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao.

Kaufman, 29, had been campaigning for a fight against Miesha Tate, but instead will be put up against a woman she first finished in 2007. The Canadian fighter has only lost twice in her career, both times via armbar, against Marloes Coenen and Ronda Rousey. She was defeated by Jessica Eye at UFC 166, but after Eye failed a post-fight drug test the result was overturned.

Davis, 30, has been out of action since losing to divisional champion Ronda Rousey in 16 seconds at UFC 175. Prior to the defeat, “Ally-Gator” had rattled off five consecutive wins, including her first three inside the Octagon. Her last defeat against Kaufman occurred when the two fought under the Strikeforce banner in 2012.
